    Parallel squatting is when the top of your legs at the hip joint is at the same height as the top of your knees. Squatting past parallel means squatting even lower.

    The plates touch the floor. You lower the weights under control. The touch and go method where once the plates touch the floor and you immediately lift can be done, yet you have to make sure your form is really rigid

    If you mean your hips and legs, that is correct. Keep your back straight during the lift
