Pinay teen actress KC Concepcion want to keep her love life private. When asked if the teen actress would be willing to be directed by rumored Filipino boyfriend Lino Cayetano in the future.
"I'm open to working with admirable directors," KC smilingly said

If this young Filipino actress was apprehensive to reveal anything about her rumored boyfriend, KC was very vocal when it comes to the other guys linked to her in the past.

First was a Fil-Am singer Billy Crawford. Young actress candidly admitted that the Filipino-American singer courted her when she was still staying in Paris. According to KC Concepcion, this young singer has some friends there and KC even met some of them. KC stressed though that the Billy was merely a friend to her.

The case of former Rivermaya lead singer and composer Rico Blanco was much different compared to the said Filipino-American. However, many believed that there was something special going on between the said pinay teen actress and the popular band vocalist. There were even rumors came out during those time that Philippine MegaStar Sharon Cuneta was agaisnt on the relationship, thus encouraging KC to leave Philippines over Paris. Rivermaya's haunting ballad, "Balisong," was said to be inspired by the young Filipina.

KC thinks being naturally friendly particularly with guys, is very susceptible for controversial issues and false impression.

ABS-CBN Plans To Replay KC Concepcion's TV Special

Napag-alaman ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na ang TV special ni KC Concepcion na KC From Paris to Pinas ay magkakaroon ng replay.



Kung wala raw mababago sa plano, malamang na i-replay ang ginawang special ni KC sa ABS-CBN na ipinalabas noong September 23. Pero sa replay nito, nagdesisyon daw ang management ng ABS-CBN na ipalabas ito in an earlier timeslot para mas marami pa ang makapanood. Malamang ay weekend pa rin daw ito ire-replay, pero sa afternoon timeslot na.



Hindi naman kaila na during KC's special, nandoon ang pahiwatig nito na abangan na lang siya dahil marami pang pagkakataon na mapapanood at makakasama siya ng televiewers.



Sa nakuhang impormasyon ng PEP, tila may niluluto nga raw na TV show ang ABS-CBN para sa anak ni Sharon Cuneta. Ang show na ito ay hindi rin nalalayo sa ginawang TV special ni KC.



Personally ay type daw talaga ni KC na kung may show man siyang gagawin, yung tipong travel show na makapagbibigay siya ng impormasyon sa mga manonood.



Ayon pa sa source ng PEP, wala raw planong isabak si KC sa mga soap opera kung sakali dahil iba naman ang personalidad ng dalaga.

KC’s style and substance

Aside from its distinct style and quality, perhaps what catapulted local fashion brand Bayo to its current leadership in the industry was Lea Salonga’s image, wholesome and attractive, splashed all over the metro. Thus began a Bayo tradition that has seen a number of other young, modern Filipinas carrying the name with such grace and glamour, style and substance.

There was Danielle Cojuangco, Barbie Almalbis and Kitchie Nadal, and now, KC Concepcion.

“For many years now we’ve always thought of having her beautiful face grace our billboards, stores and print ads. The prospect of her being the fashion label’s endorser literally fell into our laps when a friend informed us that we might be able to sign KC this year. Of course we were all excited, but scared at the same time because we wanted her so much that the thought of losing her out to some other brand was daunting,” shares Pinky Estrebillo, general manager of Lyncor Inc., the maker of Bayo and Kids of Bayo apparel.

Not surprisingly, many other brands are “clamoring” for KC’s endorsement ever since the young woman returned from four years of study in France. At the age of 22, KC is indeed at her peak, but Corcor Bitong, one of the owners of Bayo, was confident that they would be able to sign her up.

After several meetings with KC’s manager Sandra Chavez and an exchange of text messages between the latter and sisters Corcor and Lynn, the deal was sealed on Aug. 22, at a contract signing with Bayo’s Ferdie Agustin, KC and Sandra Chavez. Sonny Bitong was also present to complete the full force behind Bayo.

The pictorial took place on the same day. Lynn, together with their youngest sister Yvette Lejano, the merchandise manager of Bayo, made sure that the Bayo collections would look perfect on KC and vice versa. Stylist Jenni Epperson helped give the clothes more twist and excitement. The magic of Juan Sarte also enhanced the fresh and pretty face of KC, though not much makeup was needed for her. The pictorial went on smoothly as KC’s experience and exposure to the world have brought her so much confidence on how she projected herself in front and behind the camera.

Why is she perfect for Bayo? According to Ferdie, KC being a true modern Filipino and proud of it is the main reason they chose her. She is also a fashion icon, talented, confident and very classy. “She’s a class act,” he says.

“KC is KC. She is one person truly in touch with her own self. She knows what she wants to do with her life and her passions. And in spite of being born privileged, she is still so aware of both the beautiful and harsh realities of life,” Pinky continues. “KC is somebody who appreciates her blessings, uses them to good advantage by sharing it with the people around her, friends, family and even strangers who may need her to brighten up their dark and troubled days in any little way she can. Her warm, cheerful, and happy disposition easily endears her to all that come in contact with her. That is what we truly envision a Bayo woman to be: Fun-loving, relaxed, warm, with a good and happy heart and so easy to work with.”

For her part, KC is only too happy to be the face of Bayo. “I was so excited to be part of Bayo,” she reveals.

KC’s sense of style, she says, is based on “gut feel” and is certainly not boxed up. “Clothes give me confidence. When I dress up, I go for the spirit of the look. Kasi kahit maganda ang damit, kung hindi bagay sa ’yo...,” she says. Her favorite colors are red, purple and white or black.

Bayo will be launching a new collection this October, dividing the styles into three different lines: the Young, Trendy and Classic, encompassing all segments of the modern Filipina. “We will have what every girl will need to suit her fashion moods anytime and any day,” Pinky says. “We thank KC for making our dream come true and we also assure her that we will be here as her new family to help her make her own dream come true. We are looking forward to an exciting end quarter of 2007 and many more years of partnership to come.”

Bayo has a total of 44 branches in all major malls at key cities all over the country. Bayo also has its sister brand, Kids of Bayo, catering to the younger set of fashionistas. Kids of Bayo, KOB for short, has a total of 15 outlets nationwide.

KAHIT saan ako magpunta, si KC Concepcion ang kinukumusta sa akin. Grabe, talagang how time flies.

Nakita ko kung paano ipinagbuntis ni Sharon Cuneta si KC. Ngayon, heto at nakatakda na rin siyang maging "megastar", basta ma-handle lang ng tama, at mailapit siya sa masa.

Initially, dapat pakinggan ang sinabi ni KC na if she will do a film, dapat concept niya at bago talaga na ‘di pa nagagawa. Super na-excite ako doon, kasi first time na magkakaroon ng artistang Pinoy na gusto ay maging directly involved sa creative group ng kanyang pelikula.

Very credible si KC on that aspect, at kumbaga, puno siya ng karapatan. Parte ng kursong tinapos niya ‘yun sa Paris, kung saan may favorite subject siyang Film Analysis.

Kung bago talaga ang lahat ng gusto ni KC, dapat bago rin ang leading man niya. Pagpahingahin na muna natin si Piolo Pascual na lahat na lang sa kanya’y itinatambal.

Piolo is one of the best actors that Philippine Cinema has ever produced. But with KC’s concept and idea, wala nang novelty.

The best thing, mag-launch ng malaking SEARCH FOR KC’s LEADING MAN. I’m sure, maraming bagets ang sasali na nasa upper class bracket at kasing-educated ni KC na magma-match ang chemistry nila.

Very fresh team up, talagang aabangan ang tambalan. Tapos, si Direk Lino Cayetano pa ang magdidirek.

Sa set pa lang may true to life triangle na at hindi na kailangang gimikan ang promo ng movie. First time rin na ang ka-triangle ng mga bida ay ang sarili nilang direktor. ‘Di ba, very interesting? Panalo!

Wanted: Hollywood actor for KC Concepcion!

Now to the big questions who will be KC Concepcion’s leading man in her film debut. Will it be one of the Golden Guys? Or Aga? When Lea Salonga returned to local showbiz after London at Broadway, Aga was her leading man.

What kind of story KC deserves? Something like Roman Holiday which was made memorable by Audrey Heburn (a fashin model too) and Gregory Peck or Breakfast at Tiffany’s with Audrey and George Peppard. How long ago were they but they don’t make that kind anymore -- full of innocence and charm.

And why not a search? But the trouble with searches, more rejects of other searches come. "Sila pa itong marunong magdaldal, mag-project," insiders say. As my father used to say, those we don’t need come to us but those we need we look for.

As a suggestion: why not study the idea of getting a Hollywood actor for KC. She deserves that and the added promo hype. In my time, director Cirio Santiago brought in Don Johnson (Later of Miami Vice) for Nora Aunor and Sajid Khan later by Temyong Marquez. That was big fun.

After breezing through her KC From Paris to Pinas special and her launch as the new Bayo endorser, which included media interviews and television appearances, KC has not reappeared, the only signs of her the usual television ads. The public is missing KC Concepcion terribly.

Even as KC From Paris to Pinas was replayed by ABS-CBN last Saturday at a late afternoon timeslot and she was sighted in Singapore with rumored suitor Lino Cayetano, there’s a KC mania in the country that cannot be ignored.Old and new fans, which includes every Pinoy it seems, are clamoring for more! Although Bayo and BMG publicist Shirley Pizzaro reveals KC’s next project is a CD, she has not signed with any record label as mom Sharon Cuneta is out of the country doing concerts. Unless this mania is fed something soon, a lot of Pinoys are going “Kray-C!”

In the two times I met her, I observed that she loves pure colors, mainly red, purple, white and black. In the Bayo launch, she was wearing a red dress, which she matched with a big bag and bling-bling also by Bayo, which made her look stunning. Why does she love purple? It has something to do with halayang ube, which is her favorite dessert, the sweet she hankers for and the first food she eats whenever she returns to the country. She related. “I got the hang of it when Lola used to bring us cousins to Baguio City as kids. I met the nuns who made them. They toured us in the factory. I think this is the reason purple is my favorite color.”

Breaking buzz:There’s no plan for Bayo to come up with a KC line as buzzed by Bayo top guy Ferdie Agustin. He says, “She will probably help us come up with our new line.”

AS this corner had noted earlier, it’s a crowded, standing-room-only Kapamilya network that new entrants Angel Locsin and KC Concepcion have gotten into. As it is, ABS-CBN is already laden with big names such as Judy Ann Santos, Claudine Barretto, Bea Alonzo, Sarah Geronimo, Angelica Panganiban, Toni Gonzaga and Heart Evangelista.

Everyone surmise that it would not be long before the competitive juices of the stars, talent managers, handlers and fans would set in and open the floodgates of conflict, jealousy and one-upmanship.

For starters, some have observed that the transfer of Angel from GMA-7 was “overshadowed” by the “special attention” given by ABS-CBN to the contract signing of KC. This elicited a reaction from Angel’s manager, Becky Aguila.

"You know, there is really no point of comparison between Angel and KC. Si Angel kasi, she started from nothing, she started from scratch, she started from being a nobody. Na dati, para siyang ano...kumbaga, alipin; na dahil sa sipag niya at tiyaga, naging prinsesa,” Aguila said.

She continued: "Si KC naman is already a princess, we all know that. Even Angel likes her so much. And si KC, she also likes Angel dahil nagsimula nga sa wala. And the point is, hindi dapat ma-threaten ang kahit na sino kay Angel, the same way na hindi nate-threaten si Angel kahit kanino. . . Angel Locsin na siya."
