I got a call from Unilab weeks ago... they want to schedule an interivew for a financial analyst vacancy position. Sadly I declined the offer, for I still have a 6-month tie-up contract with my current employer.

I never had the chance to ask the salary offer, so i'm curious... how much are they offering for that position? I'm a CPA currently working at SGV & Co.

Any inputs/feedback will be appreciated. thanks!

i think ok naman work, salary, benefits ng 2 companies.

difference is, yung isa #1 pharma in the world. yung isa #1 pharma in the phils.

I used to work in unilab many many years ago as a permanent employee. It's actually my last job in pinas. I never wanted to leave to work abroad because I like working in unilab. BUT I'm tired of the commute! The place where I relocated is a small city so commuting is minutes away not hours like in Manila.

The pay isn't that high BUT we get 17.5months a year + multitude of other benefits.

But 1 thing I like about unilab is the work in NEVER stressful and the management takes care of their staff. There's a balance between work and family/personal commitments. If this is important to you, Unilab is a great place to work.

My mother has been with Unilab for the longest time.

My whole family was covered with health insurance until I turned 21 (I lost my coverage then). I grew up with Unilab paying for almost all of my family's medical bills - hospitalizations, dental visits, vaccines, etc.

We optioned 2 cars from the company years back and my mom, while she no longer gets a car unit, still has a car purchase and gas allowance to this day.

Other benefits include a free sack of rice every month, and free summer workshops for your kids and wives/husbands every summer. I learned how to swim in the company pool (which employees and their family members can use anytime as long as there are no events or it's not being cleaned) and the training earned me a varsity spot in my high school's swim team.

I also remember taking jazz dancing, tap dancing, arts and crafts, painting and drawing, volleyball and tennis lessons when I was younger - all for free! (well, you pay for the odd racket, swimsuit and other materials). They also offered basketball, tae kwon do, etc. Now I know they also have cheerleading thrown in the mix. They have swim lessons and aerobics classes for the employees, too. There are cooking/baking/craft lessons for adults as well.

An honor student dependent also receives at least 6,000 pesos for every semester or term. The amount varies depending on one's grades.

There are a lot more benefits but I will take up too much space. Super alaga yung family mo if you work for Unilab. You also don't get worked to the ground. And the pay isn't that bad either.

My fiance works in Pfizer. Monthly salary is 8000 lang. Pero malaki incentives and ganda ng benefits. (Like the 700K a year hospitalization expense (maxicare) per family member. etc..)
