Will hemorrhoids, non-thrombosed, affect your application? Is it a reason for the company not to hire you?

depends... is it external or internal (if internal what grade), depends on the company also
Hi. If you are qualified for the job, and the hemorrhoids won't affect your job performance, I can not see why it would be a ground for refusing employment.
But cipro is right, it all depends on your employer.
Cheers!

Hello everyone! medyo mahaba to…![]()
I had undergone pre-employment medical exams(employment abroad) and when asked when I had my last period, I honestly told them that it became irregular when I gained weight, and that I haven’t had it for 6 months already. They then referred me to an endocrinologist and gynecologist because of my delayed period.
With the endocrinologist, I had two tests, blood chemistry and ecg. Both were within normal limits and then she gave me metformin and reductil. I was told to return after 3 weeks for her to note my progress and for my clearance.
The gyne naman told me to have a transvaginal ultrasound. She told me that I have pco nga daw. hormonal imbalance. she prescribed 6 duphaston 3 x daily (pang 2 days lang sya) and bumalik ako once I get my period. Problem is, our flight is scheduled in three weeks meaning I need to be cleared asap. I explained this to her and she just told me to be back once I get my period.![]()
Question… do I need to be reproductively fit for me to work abroad?
Ang pco ba is type ng sakit na di ka na makakapag report sa work 6 days a week or possible ba na mag collapse ako bigla at dapat maospital because I have pco (given that I passed all the tests like yung basic na medical plus blood chemistry and ecg, maliban sa tvu w/c showed that I have pco)?
Meron bang gynecologist who can prescribe the preventive/maintenance medicines in advance and just provide online consultation?
ano usually and treatment sa pco?
These are questions you should've asked your gynecologist during your visits. Take the meds and return for followup. Yes, being fit for work includes reproductive health.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
I will be having my pre-employment medical exam this coming week pero bago yon nagpa-checkup muna ako ng cbc at fecalysis sa ibang hospital.
For cbc pasok naman lahat sa reference value yung result except sa segmenters na may value na 73 which is above sa reference value na 50-70, anong ibig sabihin nito?
Then for fecalysis ang result para sa red blood cells at pus cels ay 0-2/HPF tapos sa bacteria ay "many". what is the meaning of these? enough reason na ba ito para di ako matanggap?
Your lab results are within normal range. Don't worry. If you have other questions about your lab results, you can ask the doctor who's going to do your pre-employment PE.
You do have elevated uric acid, high blood pressure and right bundle branch block (RBBB). That's enough reason for you to get established with a regular physician.
RBBB is quite common, and occurs in a variety of medical conditions that afftect the right side of the heart or the lungs. In effect, it is reasonable to order screening tests for such conditions as blood clots to the lung (pulmonary embolus), chronic lung disease, cardiomyopathy, and atrial and ventricular septal defects. That's why he scheduled you for a 2D ECHO.
However, RBBB also commonly occurs in normal and healthy individuals. Oftentimes the screening exam may yield no significant medical findings. In these cases, the RBBB has no apparent medical significance, may be written off as a "normal variant," and safely ignored.

Ten years ago I have had a minimal PTB . I have completed the six months medication and eventually got cleared by our company physician, from then on , I have lived on a healthy lifestyle .I stopped smoking, and alcoholic beverages.I engaged on exercises and eat healthy foods. However , suceeding x ray results shows that the spot on my lungs still remains.I believe that this spot is the scar from the minimal PTB which I had 10 years ago,Today I am applying for Qatar and my medical result was pending because of this. How will I get out from this predicament,I know I am healthy and that I need this job very badly. Will getting a clearance from a pulmonologist erased that doubt that the spot they saw was actually a scar? Please help me.
There are some countries in the Middle East that are quite strict with their medical clearance.I am not sure if Qatar is one of these countries. What do they do? Part of the specifications in their clearance is 'any history of pulmonary tuberculosis are not allowed to work in their place'. The people doing the screening here are very good, in fact, they do spot films just to make sure there is no evidence of pulmonary tuberculosis.
If Qatar is included in these countries, then, i have to say that a clearance from a pulmonologist would not help you. Getting rid of the scar would harshly mean removing that piece of your lung where the scar is (which i think is not the solution to your problem.)
As I always tell the patients not 'taken in' by these countries, just think that there might be a reason why you are not allowed to work there... probably there's a greener pasture somewhere.
Hope I answered your queries.
thanks angelisse for that enlightenment.it's just that sad to note that after all those pre qualifying processes that i have undertaken , i'll end up sorry . so all you guys, learn from this . take very good care of your body before its too late because this will be your passport to all your dreams or you will end just like me.
What are the other medical requirement in which most of our countrymen commonly fail when they are applying to work for abroad (desases in which they are not aware they have)?
i can answer that one: PIN WORM, ASCARIS and HOOK WORM
worms are very common....i should know.
Tuberculosis of course is no# 1 !!!!
Just a clarification then, a scar on the lung doesn't require surgery. All you need is a pulmonologist clearance stating that you were treated for tuberculosis, Laboratory test done (sputum exam, sputum culture) were negative, and you don't have signs and symptoms of TB.
The scar will be there forever but it doesn't mean you still have active TB. In other words, its just a scar, its not active, and you do not pose a risk by coughing up TB and spreading the organism to their countrymen. See a pulmonologist and hope for the best
don't loose hope![]()
Believe it or not, the Middle East countries do not accept anyone who has tuberculosis or history of tuberculosis. Even if it is just a 'scar' that remains in an x-ray film with negative sputum examinations, or a certificate from a pulmonologist that the treatment is completed. It is the rule for those countries. You can even ask POEA.
thats unfortunate.![]()
Hi,
Tanong ko lang, I will be undergoing medical exam kasi sa lilipatan kong company, can I pass their medical exam even though I had a history of tuberculosis before?
Kasi sabi sa akin ng doctor nun, kahit magaling ka na sa sakit, makikita pa rin sa xray result yung markings. I had treated 5 years na and I think magaling na ko kasi di ko na nakita yung symptoms before.

get a sputum AFB exam, then ask clearance from a pulmonologist. if the company's not an ***, you can get in.

HI Po.
Ano mga dapat checkup when applying for work abroad?
thanks.
curious lang ako...at general comment na lang din...
Never kong na-experience ang mag-work sa Pinas (left the country when I was 16) kaya hindi ako aware sa mga pre-employment medical check-ups na pinag-uusapan ninyo. Eto ang question ko....Are these tests really necessary? . Oo, dito sa USA, may mga pre-employment screening rin, pero most of the time Urine Drug Screen lang, at kung healthcare-related naman, minsan sinasamahan rin ng TB screening.
I work at a medical lab, at never pa akong naka-experience or naka-receive ng order from employers or Dr's offices asking for a CBC, Urinalysis, or a fecalysis for that matter, as part of a pre-employment requirement.
