    A Royal Flush Routine

The halftime performance of the Salinggawi Dance Troupe and the Yellow Jackets in the UAAP Finals Game 3 was a halftime to remember. It may not be the best halftime in the UAAP but the routine showed a hint of UST's greatness and success in the UAAP and in its history.

No unit in the UAAP has been successful integrating a traditional routine in a cheerdance halftime as upbeat and vibrant in this routine.

^ Thanks for the video, innuendo.

O, same number sa previous two?

Galing!

Definitely, they can do it all- trads and cheerdance.

^I could not find the videos for the halftimes of Games 1 & 2. Anyway, I just find it as a moving experience to see the culmination of all the hardwork of Thomasians to achieve the success we've enjoying in the UAAP.

I also enjoyed the performances of Gawi and YJ back in the mid to late 90s.

^ Wow... Hindi pa rin talaga nawawala 'yung magic. Gandang-ganda pa rin ako.

And guys, hindi pa ninyo napapansin? That's more or less 5 mins STRAIGHT!

And when I say routine, I mean "tadtad sa tumbling sequence at pyramids/stunts/transitions." They remain traditional most of the time. Eh, ang Salinggawi at YJ naman can do trads anytime.

I just feel proud that even if we DON'T rely on canned music, even WITHOUT the special effects and other gimmicks, buhay na buhay pa rin 'GAWI at ang crowd. I think the strength lies on our very cheers na rin.

    I am so proud.

walang disiplina ang salinggawi sa routine nila. from blockings to tumblings.

^ I presume you mean in "this particular" routine. That's true. Maybe that's because of the newbies na rin.

Pero 'pag CDC na, bigla silang nagta-transform. No unnecessary movements at may counting ang bawat galaw, walang galawgaw.

SDT's halftime performance in the UST-UE game in the first round was awesome.

We were quite stunned.

Wow, it's been a month since the conclusion of the uaap finals and it's only now that I became aware of this appreciation thread for the YJ-SDT halftime.

My fellow Thomasians, thank you very much for all the support and appreciation.

    @ Encanto - I think you're correct.

    USTE LO MEJOR!
