    Tigerairways ang plane.

Saan pala maganda mag stay dun? Yung cheap lang. Tipong pang backpacker rates.

Hi, we're going to Macau for 3D2N by end of Sept.

questions on food prices, how much is the average meal price? okay lang kahit sa mga budget restaurants.

i back read 10 pages but i wasn't able to find the answer...

    thanks.

A big mac meal in Mcdo will be somewhere around MOP20/Php 100 while if you will eat dun sa me cow, a big bowl of noodle soup will be MOP 15 din.

mas mura sa mga tabi tabi and marami din naman kumakain. i remember sa me leal senado, a dish of noodle (wrapped in paper) will be MOP 5/Php 25. marami din sila squid balls, fish balls and chicken balls pero kakaiba ang mga food na ito kesa sa atin kasi sobrang firm at masarap ang lasa cost per stick is like MOP 2/Php 10 per stick

    Hi Guys!

New member here, pero matagal na akong lurker. I've just been to Macau last Aug. 15 - 17 (via PAL) with my officemates, and I liked the place so much that I've decided to visit it again, with my wife this time. I booked via Tiger Air, at nandun kami Nov. 28 to 30. Nagpa-book na rin ako sa Metropark. (Hehe, sobrang aga, 3 months in advance!)

We stayed at the Venetian, watched ZAIA and tried a few eating places sa loob ng Venetian (Bambu, Canton, Starbucks, Blue Frog and Cafe Deco). Daming Pinoy, esp. sa Blue Frog! We ordered Blue Frog Burger. Now, how's that for sales talk?

Yung isang escalator sa Venetian, papuntang South Suites, sobrang taas and haba! Talo pa yung mga escalators sa Shangri-La Plaza.

Attached are some pics I took. Baka singilin kasi ako ni rap, hehe.

(From the shuttle bus, sensya na sa daliri, nakaharang!)

Yung first trip pala namin, all-expense paid, courtesy of our generous and kind-hearted company owner/s. Ambait talaga ng boss namin. We didn't spend a single centavo, binigyan pa kaming lahat (16 in all) ng pocket money, USD pa! Kaya eager kaming magpursigi sa trabaho and reach our repsective targets, para masuklian naman yung kabaitan niya.

Yung 2nd trip this November, personal expense ko na, kaya magtitipid ako. Sa Tiger Air, Php 7.9k lang ang RT airfare for 2 people, pero sa PAL, 13k++ RT and for 1 person lang yun!

We rode a gondola sa Venetian, and yung gondoleer namin was DiMarco. He claimed to be half-Italian, half-Filipino, (mother was from Bicol daw), pero he looked 100% Asian. But he sang opera very, very well, pati nga yung Caucasian passengers na nasa kasalubong naming gondola, talagang pumalakpak.

We also went to the Macau Tower, Senado Square, Ruins of St. Paul and a temple (di ko lang sure kung A-Ma Temple, basta yung centerpiece nila dun is an altar where people light incense, and a small pool of water where they offer coins and paper money).

Re: Cirque de Soleil's ZAIA, it was ok (price was MOP 750/head). Pero the 2 clowns in the act were not funny at all, so they should scrap it. But the show itself lacked cohesion and a solid plot, parang dinadaan na lang sa acrobatics and aerial maneuvers to engage the crowd. It only lasted for 1.5 hours though.

One thing about the Venetian, security seemed to be lax. Yung guards nila sa West Lobby entrance and the casinos didn't have metal detectors. Di rin sila nagpa-pat down ng mga guests upon entry. Kung sanay ka kasi sa Manila, medyo maninibago ka talaga.

tin...if you still have the flyers from Macau Airport...meron dun sinasabi na 1- at 2-star accommodations. parang chinese sounding yung mga pangalan at yung isa...parang MOP 200 lang per room per night and the setup is like the old houses in vigan. parang ang sistema nila is you get to experience the old charm of macau. pero ang setback: walang aircon ito but if you will be going on winter season...this is not a concern since sobrang lamig sa macau pag ganitong season. ill try to look for the flyers when i get home.

Its my first time in Macau, and I can honestly say I enjoyed my stay there better than when me and my wife were in HK (June 2007). May mga streetshows din ang Venetian, but they're neither funny or amusing (mostly kasi kumakanta lang, and a little play-acting), so we didn't stay and watch for long.

The Macanese are not that fluent in English. Hirap makipag-communicate sa hotel staff. They know basic conversational English, but that's all. Buti pa sa atin, kahit yung magtataho sa kanto, pag tinanong ng puti, naiintindihan.

    More pics!
