Buddha died but he achieved enlightment. Muhammad is the prophet of Allah. Allah is the Islam's equivalent of God. Krishna is just a reincarnation of Vishnu, Vishnu is a Hindu God. How can you be so sure that there's only one straight path to truth? What if all of them says the truth that leads to a more universal truth none of us can ever grasp?

he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his love for those who fear him;

as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

    (Psalm 103:10-12)

Proof-texting again, as usual. Psalm 103 is Psalm of blessing to God; it praises God's righteousness and His mercy and love. It does not, however, prove the Judgment will not be done to us, as indeed Jesus would later show us. Nor does the Psalm mean that acceptance of God automatically frees you from sin, nor dispenses you from committing further sins; indeed, ironically after the Psalms were made, the Israelites would transgress so much that God would punish them severely. I think that alone would negate any dream the Evangelical has that he is free from sin, or that he is not to be judged by God when Judgment comes. Nowhere in the Bible is it stated that anyone is exempted from Judgment.

If Jesus says that He is the only way to heaven and the others say that their way is the way, they can't both be right. I choose to believe Jesus Christ, since He is the one who was fortold thousands of years before His birth, He came and died, performed miracles, healed the sick and raised the dead, then He Himself rose from the dead. He is the one that I believe.

Oh yes! you can believe in Him as you said but believing and accepting Him in the sense that you know is not enough for Jesus said;"not all those who calls me 'Lord,Lord, will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of the Father."..this means only those who strive to holiness and abiding in His grace..only those who does His commands He will honor..

A brilliant Theologian once said that truth can be revealed in many different ways. Only stupid people would believe that truth has a single path alone. I believe Jesus Christ not because he was foretold before his birth, he came and died, performed miracles, healed the sick and raised the dead - those are petty magic tricks which could be done to ancient people - masses. What makes me impressed about him is how he LOVED everyone PERIOD. I'm sure, Jesus would have kissed the cheeks of Buddha or Krishna or Muhammad once they see each other - not because of accepting their superiority but because a TEACHER of MORALS and ENLIGHTENMENT would love to hang out with people who teaches the same thing.

Know your God beyond the scriptures, for it would give you wisdom bigger than a book. If you're a preacher, I would have walked out of your church. You don't know... really... what you believed in.

Are you calling Jesus stupid? He said that He is the only way.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
    (KJV)

Ac 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
    (KJV)

1Jo 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Why would I look up to someone whom I percieved as stupid as well?

Theyre right, all you know are the verses. But by heart you don't really know what Jesus taught to everyone.

Pasensya na, I can't find many verses to refute your passages. I'm not a
    Bible-based person like you do.

Anyway here are several passages from great books. See the similarities?

Without the Lord’s Name, life is worthless.

Through doubt, the people are being destroyed.
One who recognizes that all spiritual paths lead to the One shall be emancipated. One who speaks lies shall fall into hell and burn.
In the entire world, the most blessed and sanctified are those who remain absorbed in Truth. One who eliminates selfishness and conceit is redeemed in the Court of the Lord.

    - Sikhism

My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

    - John 17:20-21.

"By the declining day, Lo! man is in a state of loss, Save those who believe and do good works, and exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to endurance." (103:1-3)

I think you missed the entire concept of heaven dude. You see, all of us may have different faith, but WE are worshipping the same Creator who made us all. .

its really amazing how people worry on a premise that goes "what if there is life after death?" when we should all be busy maintaining balance in our immediate environment and keep all elements pertaining to the well-being of what is alive suitable to ourselves, our family, community, country and world? what happens when we all die? who knows, maybe somebody from the afterworld post really enriching thoughts around here! LoLz.

Yes, I'm your dead greatgrandfather from the afterlife wishing I hadnt boned your greatgrandmom to produce your grandfather who in turn produced your father who in turn produced you. I shouldve saved this world from suffering by stabbing myself in the face to death.

    Oh and yeah, booooo~

This life is going to end soon. All that will matter is if you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior or not, and what did you do for Him. This life is a test, to see who will serve the Lord and who will not.

but you Bible Christians believe otherwise..that you do not have to do anything for the Glory of God,infact you said its okay to sin which is contrary to Christ's teachings..

Please don't twist our beliefs. It doesn't mean we are not after God's glory or it is ok to sin. In fact one of the most famous verses in the bible is this...

"Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment."

Biro mo sinave ka na di mo pa mamahalain. Nagpapako na para sa iyo sa krus para maligtas ka lang di mo pa mamahalin. Ngayon hindi ako na save because of myself or kung ano ang ginagawa ko para sa Panginoon. People are saved because God's grace them and the ultimate picture of this is that of the cross. All the credit goes to God not to me or anybody else. Why? It is because it was God who first loved us not the other way around.

"This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." (1 John 4:10)

  19. #59
But that's not all that God requires. It might be the greatest commandment, but it certainly is not the only one. God does save, but with two conditions.

Jesus actually said: "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself." - Luke 10:27, KJV

Faith in God alone is not enough. Love must flow from that faith. Love is not love unless it is worked upon to be shared. What benefit is it to me if I love God and allow my neighbor to starve, or to carry his burden alone?

God does not require our works. Our neighbors do.

"And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." - Matthew 25:40, KJV

  20. #60
Here's a thought. What if the Kingdom of God Jesus was refering to was the state of perfect harmony here on earth and not really the afterlife? What if, all he wanted us to do was to help others out so in turn they'll help others out and turn this world into a better place? (liberal theology) Heaven as we know it is a concept developed much later than Jesus's death so we could be wrong. All 1 billion of us.

Because crap man. If you think this life is just the test and then it aint, at the end of your life, you'll be sayin, maaan I should've done better with what I already had.

It's not wrong to be greedy. Just dont try to aspire for something you cant even prove exists while wasting what you already have.
