being an avid Funny Komiks reader, i remember my dad having someone to make me a BIG 5-fold Birthday Card when i was around 7 or 8.. (hehe tanda na eh, funny komiks pa rin gusto). the card was made of FK characters with dialogue box greeting me a happy birthday. there was Amphibia, Niknok (of course), Matsutsu & Bardagol, Mang Ke & Lilit Bulilit, and Superdog.

i wish i could re-locate where that bday card is now... and also, my FK collection. walang palya yun weekly bumibili kami together with my sister's supply of MOD Magazine naman

Sana maibalik yung style ng Funny Komiks. Ayaw ko ng trend ngayon e. Either Anime or padark na Verigo style ang inaadapt na style of comics ngayon locally. Sana yung katulad sa dati na Funny yung planet opdi eyps or Super Dog or Combantron, or Niknok.

Mas maganda ang kwento nila compared to Anime`. Mas nakakatawa lalo na yung superdog na may buto sa leeg. Sumasalamin sa tunay na pamumuhay ng pinoy ang mga superheroes na pag nasa normal na kaanyuhan.

It's good reminiscing my younger years. Who could forget Planet op di Eyps, Bing Bam Bung, Superdog and his pal tuting, Lilit Bulilit, Mantsa Hari ng Dagat, Tsuperman, Fatotoy, Super Bokwa, Vitro, Prinsipe Maro, Amphibia, Gong da Egol, Super Blag, Butchikikoy, etc.

I really love the older issues. I checked on ebay one day and I found out that there's a 1985 December issue of Funny Komiks for sale. Alas, I was late for two days and that issue was sold for a measly P100!

Berlin Manalaysay based on what I've read on some blogs is currently residing in Canada. I ve also heard that he is planning to do a anime based on Combatron!

TOMAS AND KULAS DA BEST! those 2 cat buffoons never failed to make me laugh... lao na yung isang episode na si tomas e kumakain, tapos si kulas nanghihingi ng pera, merong 20 pesos si tmas, hinati niya sa 2 para tig 10 pesos sila! UBER LOLZ!!!!

I'm a 90s kid btw, I started reading FUNNY KOMIKS when I was in 1st grade... but sad to say I lost my collection, ginamit na panggatong kasi sa lechon eh LOLZ

nakaka-miss din super buknoy, combatron, planet of di eyps and of course, the never-straight talki8ng EKLOK!

I still remember one episode wherein EKLOK talked normally! haha

I hope there'll be a cartoon version of Combatron!!!
