During my freshman year, Mr. Fermin was considered one of the "terror" teachers. Hirap ng mga exams nya, talagang pati singit mo pagpapawisan. Then malakas pang manindak (syempre dahil puro freshmen eh, no!). May kamukha syang cartoon character, I just can't remember. Anyway, for some unknown reason, yung section namin ang gustung-gusto nya kaya less than 5 lang ang sinabit nya. Unlike other sections, they' weren't that lucky. Almost half daw binagsak nya eh.

vernier caliper is one of the easiest measuring instruments to use. mrs. uy made it so difficult. can't remember if i failed or passed her subject. physics lab 1 or 2 bah..? parang physics 1 lang siya.. wala sa lugar pagka terror. i didnt like her. naka salamin yun. tapos laging naka jumpers, tama bah? hindi siya dapat naging teacher, sa totoo lang.. one of mapua's greatest bloopers yan si madam physics.

she was light years away from rey matias (ce-mit) who later took additional science-related courses at la salle. ganyang teaching strategy ang bagay na bagay sa present mapua. so simple yet effective.

he would do the intro of each chapter in crystal clear detail. would suggest to have further readings (but all of his intros were already enough for you to understand each topic). then he would give simple and easy examples and homeworks. kuhang-kuha ng estudyante ang essence ng subject. sus.. diyan pa lang sulit na yung 2,000 php per sem mo na tuition. ang linaw ng turo. well, parang semi-spoon feeding. pero ok lang. eh papano kung masipag ka pa mag practice..? halus wala nang mahirap na problem sa physics..

sa sobrang linaw ng turo niya, akalain mo up to now i still remember his 'superman' examples in free falling bodies. rey matias made physics so easy. mrs. uy however, did the reverse.
