Here's a question for you, especially sofia g9.

At the corner of Dansalan and Arayat there is a little plaza with a "monument" which resembles either a mountain or an asymmetric, oversized breast. What is this monument for?

that's what we call the "triangle". The "monument" was constructed last 1998 (forgot the month). Actually it was supposed to be a fountain but due to the lack of water during those times ( remember when you had to wait for 7pm para lang makapag-ipon ng tubig? or makaligo?or makapuno ng tanke?) kaya naging idle siya...there's also a pond which goes around the foot of the fountain but there were kids who take their bath in the pond (anubayun) kaya tinangalan ng water kesa may madisgrasya...
also, ngayon sementado na yung triangle and nilagyan na ng upuan around the fountain...

Kaya siya mountain, kase if you could recall lahat ng names ng street dito sa barangay namen ay mga mountains (dansalan, pulog, mayon, makiling, arayat, etc)

Actually, what I'd really like to see is more lighting around the area. It's quite dark (and scary) around that park at night.

Hey, sofia g9, is "Pila Balde" for squatters only? How about other Mandaluyong taxpayers, such as my business? I could use a few new pails myself.

every year yung "Pila balde" and sort of for the less fortunate (if you don't mind the politically correct term) anyway, tickets are given to the DSWD staff, Day Care Centers, Barangay Captains, and a few privileged employees of the city... if you know what i mean...

Living in Mandaluyong is something I won't probably alter in my life. Maybe even if I have kids, I'd still live there. My place is somewhere near Toyota Shaw and i have always considered it a very strategic location. Malapit sa lahat ng important places. Basta, it will always be Mandaluyong for me. Plus it never gets flooded there.
