Pinnacle Eastwood is closed though their press release was they had to undergo major renovations. I doubt they're re-opening the branch.

I worked out at Golds for about 2 years since 2003 because of our Corporate Account. Here are my 2 cents worth on their Makati branch:

    Pros

 Very accessible (specially if you are in Makati); it is inside the mall
 Good and up-to-date equipment (not to mention the cool 30 TVs in front of the cardio area)
 A lot of classes which you can attend (they have Pilates, Cosmic Cycling, Boxing, etc.)
     Spacious bathrooms
 Better value for your money (at least in comparison with Fitness First; I think you will only pay about 1,700 pesos for unlimited access as compared to FF’s 2000 bucks)
 Good looking women (the Viva Hot Babes work out in the Makati branch)
 A lot of machine equipment (they have about 40 Treadmills)

    Cons

 Not so customer-friendly staff (I hate it when I enter the gym because they don’t politely ask for my IDs since we are on a corporate account, the staff are nicer to customers who avail of the individual packages probably because they pay more- but this is just my thought  )
 Worse gym instructors (I hate it when they give me programs instantly yet they don’t monitor if I am doing the routines correctly); they just usually assist celebrities over anyone else
 Extremely strong airconditioning in the cardio area (you have to run a minimum of 30 minutes before you can sweat out)
 Not-so-good-smelling towels (I’d rather bring my own)
 Few free weights equipment (you have to line up for the bars even on ordinary hours), and the space for free weights would only accommodate about 5 people at a time
 Poor programs (I worked out consistently for 2 long years following their programs yet nothing seemed to happen)

I know it’s wrong to compare but just to give you options:

If you have to choose between FF and Golds, I say go to Golds. But if you can find a cheaper hardcore gym around the area, they I suggest you explore it first. Golds gym is a bit OVERHYPED because of the celebrity endorsements and stuffs. Don’t expect too much value for your money (unless you are an extremely independent gym buff who doesn’t depend on gym instructors).

Probably the only reason I would enroll at Golds again (when I go back to the Philippines) is when Eclipse has not yet established their Makati branch. I am not promoting Eclipse or in any way, but the 2 years worth of workout at Golds is just comparable to the 2-week “5 by 5” program given to me by Blakedaddy at eclipse.

    Hope this helps

    Hope someone's able to answer..

yung sa corporate package samin 1000 per month for 3 months... tapos pag madaming nagsignup e tuloy tuloy... may option kami na 1000 per month or 3000 for 3 months and you get an extra month free ( 4 months total). I got the 3000 for 4 months... 750 per month for a Gold's Gym membership isn't bad at all.

Is there a 'per visit' rate in Gold's gym?
    If yes, how much kaya?
    Thanks!

with regard to the harrashment in the sauna area...
its a fact that a gym is a church to gay men...(as quoted from Will and Grace)...
i,ve noticed that there are gays on the prowl esp in the sauna area...
if you are **** and assured of yourself...just ignore them...
these pipol are educated and i presume have good breeding...they will not force you into doing something if you just turn them down politely...
    why feel threatened?
    just my two cents...

when it comes to per visit rate, as far as i can remember, 1K ata

    so i woudnt recommend that.

they offer cheaper packages compared to FF but when it comes to monthly rates or shorter programs, mas mahal sila.
    yun ang catch

    g4 branch is too crowded.

grabe.. apat na male lockers ang nabuksan yesterday.. suspect was someone who availed of a day pass (same as a free trial?)

I lost my coin purse and belt at Gold's Gym Glorietta.

A crappy gym-- you're just paying for celebrity sightings.

Foul-mannered and incompetent marketing staff. They may have the "body" but definitely not the BRAINS.

Oh. And avoid Richard Gadier (yes, I dare name him) if you can. The most ill-educated self-proclaimed marketing person I've ever met. Where and how does Gold's Gym hire its people?

I'm so proud I no longer work out here.
