    THE BREEDING GROUND OF CHAMPIONS

The strongest Squat in the Philippines ever by a woman! 222.5kg/490 pounds!

The strongest Bench Press in the Philippines ever by a woman! 120kg/264 pounds! Done easily without a bench shirt

The strongest Deadlift in the Philippines ever by a woman! 215kg/474 pounds!

The strongest Powerlifting Total in the Philippines ever by a woman! 522.5kg/1,151 pounds!

The strongest Squat in the Philippines ever by a man! 335kg/738 pounds!

The strongest Bench Press in the Philippines ever by a man! 215kg/474 pounds!

The strongest Deadlift in the Philippines ever by a man! 325kg/716 pounds!

The strongest Powerlifting Total in the Philippines ever by a man! 820kg/1,807 pounds!

That’s a sweep of ALL Powerlifting events by both men and women!

His Lie: In an interview posted on the internet, he claimed he is “the strongest man in the Philippines” and said: “I can lift weights that the heavyweights can’t do”. (Hah!)

The Truth: There are at least 6 stronger lifters as follows:

Eddie Torres (Zest) 820 kg (1,807 pounds)

Mon Debuque (Zest) 755 kg (1,664 pounds)

Bill Blankenship (Zest) 750 kg (1,653 pounds)

Noel Cacao (UP) 730 kg (1,609 pounds)

Rene Dio (Phils) 725 kg (1,598 pounds)

Chino Uichanco (UP) 712.5 kg (1,570 pounds)

Greatbop, stay off this thread, and don't try to stir up what you know nothing about.

Eclipse is too new to say much about these records other than we are preparing certain individuals to break some of them. Coach Eddie knows this already, but it's a respect thing that we keep the trash talking around a round of cold beer.

You cannot probably lift more than your water bottle based on the methods of where you train, so again, stay out of what you cannot possibly comprehend.

Zest Power Gym is the most successful powerlifting gym in the Philippines. But I won’t say we are the “best gym” because different people have different definitions of “best gym”.

I would rather not make comments about other gyms’ training methods. I respect the other powerlifting gyms like Gold’s, Eclipse, UP, etc, regardless of their training methods. The fact that they are developing powerlifters that lead to the growth of the sport in the country is great.

What I can say is that our methods have produced the most number of successful lifters (as detailed in our website). Here is a sample:
    http://www.zestpowergym.com/Others/Women's%20Open%20Records.htm
To convert to pounds, multiply the kg records by 2.2

Of course, some of these records will be broken in the future by both Zest and other gym trainees.

I should just let this go....it's too easy to rebutt

I will say this though....those with "big prides" are the ones who know so very little but try so very hard to make themselves relevant to those who consider their opinions to be vastly ignorant and highly irrelevant.

And you indeed entertained a GREAT number of individuals in this thread with your "selfless self-deprication"

    Brada,

This is a battle of wits. If you cannot back-up your statements , you will surely be laughed at. So people who post here better make sure what they're talking about. Otherwise...

We've matched or beaten that price for TeleTech corpoorate packages with 24 hour access, higher-end equipment, and of course, managed traing from competitive coaches who area athletes themselves.

I'd LOVE to see Gold's even come CLOSE to matching or beating the VALUE for your money that we have offered.

The gym is already well known by now, especially for athletes who want results.

Maybe you should see the gym for yourself and see if you can even call it "bakya"
As the physically weak man can make himself strong by careful and patient training, so the man of weak thoughts can make them strong by exercising himself in right thinking.

As of today, Coach Nilo dela Cena has broken the national squat record with a 255.5kg effort and is the National Champion in his Open weight class of 75kg!

Unfortunately our female coach was unable to compete to gun for the various records expected of her because of a sabbatical in the States.

Special thanks to the team of Coach Eddie and Zest who helped with our knee wraps. So as you can see, while gyms may be "rivals", they still assist one another for the greater good of the industry

We’re glad to be of help. We will continue to help Nilo when he needs us. Although much younger than me, Nilo is my kumpare and we go a long way back in the days he used to train in Zest in the 1990s and in the early 2000’s. He promised us a case of beer (preferably Red Horse) when he comes to Zest to fulfill his promise if he breaks the record. We hope Nilo will increase the record further in the future (so we can get more beer)

I am also pleased to announce that Zest trainees broke 6 Philippine Open records in that same meet, including surpassing 6 asian and 1 world masters records.
