Just how much exactly are the going rate for interior designers? Like per SQM ba yung rate or per room or condo or whatever?

Here's a friendly word of advice to those of you looking for an interior designer:

Make sure that you hire a licensed interior designer- someone who passed the Interior Design Licensure Examination given by the Board of Interior Design under the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission. Do not be fooled by those who claim to be interior designers but do not have a license.

Do not get intimidated by licensed interior designers. Believe me, there are those who do socialized billing.

Here's an idea on how licensed interior designers charge their professional fees:

Percentage basis

Per square meter of the area involved. The standard is P1,000.00 per square meter.

Per room basis. Depending on the amount of work required.

Lump sum.

What's the work difference of a licensed and non-licensed designer? Maybe a non-licensed designer could be cheaper?

Actually the difference between a licensed and non-licensed ID is that the licensed ones can sign blueprints. Licensed IDs have more in-depth knowledge of technical aspects in designing.
As for the talent, it can't be measured by license alone. There are designers out there who didn't even take up any formal design education but get big projects.
