yes, jazzy. according to my ob-gyne, your weight gain will depent on how your body will react to the pills. but, some do not have any reactions at all. this is also true for contraceptive injections.

i used mercilon before...same as buday, it helped me keep my weight down. strange, but was glad. hahahaha!

i used to drink diane, and i gained a lot of weight. so i stopped drinking it. and it's been almost four months since I drank it, but until now, I still didn't get my period...=(

Good effect:no pimples, ndi naka2dry ng skin, medyo nag gain po ako ng weight

Bad effect: sobrang ang mahal, minsan laging out of stock, sobrang antukin ako... zzzzzz

Has anyone tried Yasmin? I heard that dermatologists recommend it rather than Diane 35 for acne. I would like to know if this is true. I'm on Diane for years now and it has helped clear up my face. I'm not sure if this is the cause of my weight gain but I have gained weight. Is Yasmin better for acne and for other things as well?

word of advice mga sis... it's good that we are actually doing things to protect us from possible unplanned pregnancies but do think things over several times and talk to your doctor about your plans...

i have two kids and they are spaced 7 years in between.. after my 2nd was born i breastfed her so medyo matagal bago ako ulet nag cycle.. after my first menstrual cycle pagkatapos ko manganak nakipag usap ako with my hubby sa isang family planning doctor about contraception...

i was given several choices and i chose to have the injectable.. less worries kasi you only get shots every quarter and no messy pills everyday na pedeng ma miss mo ng inom... ok den sha kasi you are really safe from getting pregnant.. happy pa kayo pareho ni hubby kasi you don't have to kill the climax by doing withdrawal... (sorry mods kung medyo detailed.. just wanted to share!!)

first 3mos everything wa ok.. napansin ko lang na wala nga talaga akong cycle and first thing that came to my mind was tipid sa tampon at napkin!! yipee!! after my 2nd shot i also noticed na mas kuminis pa ang mukha ko and a lot of people have been noticing as well... ok panalo to naisip ko...after the first quarter i had my period and it wasn't the usual 3days, it lasted like 5 days so ok pa den... sabi naman ng doctor you would have your periods after every quarter kasi nga nde ka nagdedevelop ng egg...

but then, i started getting spotting.. tapos naging more than a week na ang period ko... after my 3rd shot siguro mga 2mos into the quarter eh nagkaroon ako bigla and it wasn't the usual mahina at first.. bigla shang dumating at malakas... that's when my hubby told me na itigil ko na kasi baka nde hiyang..

til now, erratic pa den ang menstruation ko... there would be times na mag-aabot ang period ko in a month( start kunyari ng jan 29 to feb2 tapos feb 25-feb28) meron namang times na more than 55days after yung last day nung last menses ko ang next period ko... nakakabaliw kasi from being regular naging irregular ako... like now.. i just finished my period 3 days ago, meron na ulet ako... kaines!!! i shouldn't have opted to use contraceptive.. by the way, after my 3rd shot nde na ako bumalik sa family planning doctor ko...

goodluck but again, think it over.. natural method is still the best.. basal body temp plus calendar for those na regular at billing's method naman sa medyo alanganin ang dating.. sorry kung mahaba! just wanted to help...

I've used Nordette before. Pero hindi ako hiyang sa pills. I've stopped coz every 2 weeks nagkakaperiod ako! minsan after the period 1 week spotting naman.

Hindi ako hiyang sa pills. Di kasi tumitigil mens ko eh sobrang lakas pa naman. Ibang contraceptive nalang daw sabi ng OB ko.
