Nasa first month ako pg take ng pills (yasmin). Its indicated on the leaflet na if ur using this pills for the first time u need to drink it on the first day of your period. My question is, is it really safe what it is indicated there that you dont need to take any other contraceptions even if it is in your first month of usage?

alam ko if you take pills for the very first time, you need additional contraception for the first week or so until your body is accustomed to this new cycle...just to be sure ask your OB-GYN.

I agree with mytitagirl. You need to have extra protection in the next 7 days kasi you're still getting used to the cycle. After that it's 99.9%. The only reason why some women get pregnant while using the pill is if they have LBM, or if you're taking anti-biotics, the pill is ineffective. It depends on the brand as well, some pills will not let you take grapefruit or 1000 mg of vit C because it will be useless. Ask your OB again, i'm sure she'll answer all your questions.

i've been using diane since 2003. my ob said that we need to use other protection on the 1st pack. on the second pack the only safe days are the 1st 7 and last 7. it is only in the 3rd pack that the pill will take full effect.

kasi dito sa nz, yung first 7 days ang hindi safe tapos kung tuloy tuloy ka walang miss safe ka, unless magkaLBM ka, extra protection needed.

i took dianne before. i had to stop it coz i can't quit smoking. unfortunately, one cannot take pills and smoke at the same time

hello to everybody!!! Im a pill user for 17 years.....i just stopped kasi ligate na ako.

Believe me mga sister....pills is very very effective....once u start the pills ..no need for another contraceptive...EXCEPT as in except ha...if u r taking pills tapos u r also taking anti-biotics..that's the time u need to for another contraceptive kasi hihina ang bisa ng pills becoz of the anti-biotic....pero ako kahit na nag anti-biotic ako..i don't took any other contraceptive at hindi talaga ako nabubuntis.

Yong sinasabi nila na take it correctly....it means u have to take the pills at the same everyday for 21 days as in walang palya.

yong tungkol naman sa pag nag stop ng pills specially diane ay magkaka - pimples ...hindi po totoo ..kasi i also tried using diane.

About naman sa nakakataba....for me....hindi nangyari sa akin......ang na try kong pills ay FEMINAL, DIANE, TRI-NORDUEL AND GYNERA...lahat effective sa akin...no pimples at hindi nakakataba at hindi ako nabuntis.

It really depends on your body. Some women gain weight, some don't. I didn't gain weight or experience any side effects for the Ortho-Evra patch but that's just me. I can't say the same for the other women.

yep. I'm a little on the chubby side...
but I don't know if Ortho-Evra is available in the Philippines yet.
besides there was recent news about its side effects for certain women but I haven't had any problems and I am perfectly content with it.
