Choosing Maid of Honor

I've thinking about how I'm going to choose my Maid of Honor. No sisters but I have 2 cousins that I grew up with. One of my cousins, was the one who hooked us (my fiance and i) up. My other cousin, who I'm really close too.. she is like my sister.. I only want one Maid of Honor but I need help choosing.

I'd pick the cousin you're closer to. I don't think the cousin who set you up would mind since I assume you're going to make her one of the bridesmaid's anyway.

I'd rather choose the cousin who hooked you up with your h2b. If not for her, you wouldn't hve met him. You can make your other cousin, one of your bridesmaid.

i'd go for the cousin who hooked you up, too. the other cousin, the one you're closer too... make her 1st bridesmaid. whichever you choose, though, make sure they are willing and able to help you out in planning and making your wedding beautiful.

is it necessary for the bride's sister to be the maid of honor? say the bride has a sister, but she and this sister happen to be cold toward each other. they're still living in the same house kaso ayon nga, di nag-uusap. the bride wants her best friend to be the maid of honor instead... wala namang objections yung parents pero parang ayaw nung relatives.

improper ba talagang hindi piliin ang sister para maging maid of honor, maski na di kayo masyadong bati?

IMHO, if it's your wedding (especially if you're the one paying for it), you can choose who you want to be in your entourage, and invite only those who you want to be part of your wedding. (AND the star of the wedding is the BRIDE, not really the groom. )

Regarding deej2bs's question, do you think you'll regret not asking your sister to be your Maid of Honor (5-20 plus years down the road)?

i dont think it's improper not to choose one's sister to be a maid-of -honor.

put this in your mind too: which one has impecable taste, who can you rely more with, who would give you the best bachelorette party ever. i hope it helped.
