our wedding coordinator, Impromptu Events, charged us 9k for OTD service. Discounted rate coz we are members of the ?@! group. Excellent service nila. Our guests were so pleased as to how organized our wedding was. In fact, 2 of our guests already are interested to contact them for their wedding naman!

hi. i know irobot. she's a sis from ?@!. she dropped blue lace management months before her wedding due to inefficeny and unreliability.

meron din sanang group ang kasal.com. the problem is, konti ang nagpa-participate sa forum. kasal.com is actually my first reference when it comes to wedding preparations kaso parang kulang sa interaction. it was a good thing na nakipag tie up sila sa PEX (though di pa rin ganon kabilis ang flow of discussions).

hi! can you send me the details of your wedding coordinator? i really need one but im on a tight budget. thanks!

anong timeline ang pinakamaagang pwede maki-pagcoordinate sa wedding planner, like in my case nandito ako sa canada and wala akong maasahang relatives sa manila.should it be 1 1/2 year ahead or two years? kasi gaya yong gusto naming videographer na si jason fully book na ata sya ng 2008.so if 2010 dapat magpabook na din this year..(sobra ata akong excited).hehhe gaya din mga churches parang ang hirap din magbook.

tied up ba ang client sa accredited suppliers ng wedding planner co. lahat ng supplies or mga kailangananin or may freedom pa rin pumili ng iba?

ang services ba nila pwede from scratch like consultation sa theme/motif etc..

    hi jahna!
maraming coordinator ang tumatanggap 8-12 months prior the wedding.. but depende din yan sa kukunin mong coordinator. May mga tumatanggap din ng mas maaga. Since you are an overseas bride, full coordination ang kailangan mo. Mahirap talaga magpabook sis, kaya dapat mejo marami kang choices.

May mga alam akong suppliers na may kasamang coordination na rin, pero may mga package din sila na wedding coordination lang.. Yun, may freedom ka to choose any suppliers you want =)

oo naman I think wedding coordinators can help you through small details like that... pero depende rin sa kukunin mong coordinator hehe

    sana makatulong.

hi there! im also an overseas bride..ok yun coordinator ko...she's always there to help me...isang text or email ko *** ma sagot na..super patient din sya sa kakulitan ko...basically, she'll ask you want you want, she'll give advices kung ano maganda/mas ok...pero in the end, ikaw pa din masusunod (syempre, wedding mo yun)...

mas mainam **** yun kumuha ng coordinator..lalo na sa tulad natin...

    you can check her website...conceptstechnology.multiply.com...elyn casas-cordova is her name...e2 yun cp# +639194831469

I agree with those who have shed insights to what the event coordinator's role is. To reiterate, there are several packages for wedding coordination. These are Full, Partial (turn over) and On-The-Day (OTD) wedding coordination. Full wedding assumes a 0-10% work preparations while OTD covers the ceremony-reception which means that all leg works have already been carried out by the couple. The coordinator's task is to ensure that everything would run smoothly on the day of the wedding. Partial wedding coordination, on the other hand, is somewhere in between. For people who have no time and is busy for the wedding preparations, the Full package is recommended. Rule of thumb in deciding whether or not to get the wedding coordinator is to put value in the amount of stress you have to risk in getting none.

Event coordinators could accept any job regardless of the time frame. The only constraints are the availability of vendors and suppliers. For churches and venue, it is ideal to book it way way ahead of time, say a year especially if your D-day falls on peak season, e.g. December to January. This applies to wedding venues such as Fernwood and Fernbrook. The rest could be carried out within six months. However popular vendors and suppliers (notably costlier) like Jason Magbanua for videography and Pilar Tuason for photography sets only limited and exclusive bookings. But don't worry, there are a lot of vendors and suppliers out there nowadays who could give the same value for your money.

Wedding coordination price rate varies with the couple's requirements. It is best to pin down what you really need and see the big picture. Coordinators could range from low end in just providing the basic services to high-end providing radio communication, comes with staff in uniforms and providing personalized or thematic touch to your wedding. Of course, the quality has its price.

One good tip we share to everybody is to study first different suppliers, research and gather feedback then when decided book them during bridal fairs. In this way, you get good discounts and lots of freebies. You could get bargain prices especially for caterers, reception venue, photo and video services.

There are a lot of resources that you could make use of for your wedding preparations. among the popular sites are w@w, wedding library and kasal.com. make great use of the forum because it really helps.
