ATTENTION : CSB PEP SQUAD

To improve our cheer, I do hope the you will pay attention to this one........

The wave thing and the flaglets are quite conventional. Even the ANIMO, LETS GO and the GO GO thing are being imitated by majority of the schools so let us come up with a more unique and innovative one.

One time when I was watching the game of the BLAZERS, the drummers used to JUMP after a couple of beat. It looks so cool and fun!!! Try to make the CSB CROWD JUMP and the CSB PEP SQUAD should help them do the proper timing of JUMPING. Noone in the UAAP or NCAA is doing this kind of cheer. This is one hell of a chance for us BENILDEANS to innovate such kind of a cheer. It goes something like this:

(THE BEAT OF THE DRUM IS A LITTLE FASTER THAN USUAL)

GO BENILDE !!!
GO, GO BENILDE !!!
(SIMULTANEOUSLY, JUMP THEN SHOUT YES, YEAH OR WHATEVER IS
APPROPRIATE AND THEN STRETCH THE LEFT ARM UPWARD WITH A CLOSE FIST JUST LIKE WHAT A LA SALLIAN DOES.)

BENILDEANS WILL SURELY ROCK THE HOUSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I MEAN, STRETCH THE RIGHT ARM UPWARD NOT THE LEFT. ANYWAY, RIGHT OR LEFT IS NOT THE ISSUE, WHAT COUNTS IS THE HEART THAT PUSH THE ARM - THE BENILDEAN HEART !!!

Actually, we shout fight nga! Ang by the way, UST jumps when they do the GO USTE thing. What we actually do (drummers) is to jump dahil hindi kami nakikita when we are behind the drums. And the jumping started from Lasalle in the UAAP. Dati kasi sa Araneta, when it used to sport the old look, the drummers would just slant the drums in the steel screens in the upper box A or upper box B, then when they do the ocho beat, they do the go lasalle thing tapos, tuluy-tuloy na, the bass drummers jump and shout "Lasalle" plus making the "archer" stance pa in mid-air. Yun ang ginagawa ng Benilde pep right now, we jump, do the archer stance in mid-air and just shout "fight".
Hindi pa nga alam ng iba ang "archer" stance when we do the Let's Go Blazers cheer eh, pati yung C-SB...GO BENILDE, GO GO BENILDE cheer hindi alam ng karamihan dahil napansin ko yun sa game kahapon eh! Hindi lahat nakakasabay. Pati nga sa alma mater hindi sabay-sabay eh! Pag-uusapan pa namin ang call-sign para dun!
I'm sure the pep will take your suggestions into consideration and I hope you contribute more ideas para magkaroon pa tayo ng ibang unique cheers! Peace!

SWEEP THE STAGS AND BURN THEM!!!

Thanks for that info !!!

All my life, I hated number 66. Mapamahiin kasi ako. Namana ko siguro sa nanay ko. But now, hindi na! If you have noticed, the past three games of the Blazers, nakatapak sila sa score na 66. I know because allergic nga ako sa number na 66. Tama nga siguro ang sabi nila na sa buhay na ito, we must learn to love the things that we hate most in order for us to enjoy life to the fullest. What I am saying may sound irrelevant to some but this realization is definitely a learning experience in my part. Hindi ko maintindihan ang sarili ko kung bakit ito ang sinasabi ko. Siguro, what I'm trying to point out is that people tend to pattern their ways and thinking sa mga numero, past experiences and other stuff that eventually prevent them from moving on.

Well, relating this to the NCAA, the BENILDEAN COMMUNITY is just starting to establish their own identity away from the shadow of the main campus (not totally away but somehow different in some aspects). We cannot step our feet on the higher grounds kung itinatali natin ang ating mga sarili sa stereotyping ng ibang taong hindi naman tayo lubusang kilala. The moment has come for us and that is to MAKE KNOWN AND BE KNOWN. The feeling is so.. so.. great when you see your fellow Benildeans Shout for Joy and Cheer for Victory! Sana, this will go on and on and on and on....

calintaan,
The CSB Pep Squad may still retain the traditionals but we do our best to create cheers for ourselves. The drumbeats you hear that may not be familiar to you are drumbeats that have been made by us. Lasalle has ocho-Lasalle, we also do that and we have to other ocho beats, the ocho-B for benilde and ocho-m for marlboro. then there is the offspring drumbeat (we use it kapag sawa na kaming gamitin ang Powerbeat which originated from Lasalle Zobel). Lasalle Greenhills created a howling cheer adapted from your friendly neighborhood roving Selecta Ice Cream vendors. The cheers that other lasalle pep squads created usually leaks out to the Main campus, to Zobel and to LSGH and to us too! But we will continue to make more cheers for more originality na rin! Sad to say, we get imitated. It's both flattering and disgusting but we have to take it in stride in order to improve ourselves for the Benildean and Lasallian community! Peace!
