All in all ~8k kasama na direct hire processing fee, medical, SSS, PAG-IBIG. 1 day to 1 week.

Thanks again nvidia.

Good luck!

Well, I gotta say times have changed here since last election. Yes you'll definitely see and feel that the gov't is already limiting the number for foreign talents here.

To give you a better picture of my experience.... I came here in SG last March 11 with EPEC (long term visit pass), it took me 3 damn months to land a job as a Technical Helpdesk for a MNC.

So there, bago pa kayo pumunta dito sa SG, at least magsimula na kayo mag send ng email applications nyo.

If you guys have background in it helpdesk/desktop support/it technical support, then maybe i can help you when you get here in sg, because our company is hiring this whole month. so pm nyo nalang ako if you guys wanna try.

I've been working in Singapore for almost three months now. I left my company in the Phils. (its a multi-national, above average salary, with car, etc.) bec. I think its about time to look for a new environment. I felt I'm no longer growing career wise and technical wise. Although I had been very thankful to my former company dahil maski papano eh napadala ako sa US (where I earned a Multiple entry 10-year B1/B2 visa..maski papaano ok na..), went to different ASEAN countries, etc.

man, If you want to work here, I recommend it's good but it's tough at first. Medyo mga frank mga tao dito. Siyempre mas OK pa rin to work with fellow pinoys. Masuwerte mga kakilala ko dito at marami silang pinoy sa work nila, some of them even have pinoy as their immediate boss. In my case, wala, Im the only pinoy in the group..although sa ibang dept. merong mga pinoy but then walang masyadong interfaces ang mga dept. namin kaya minsan ko lang din sila makausap. Iba talaga yung mismong colleague mo eh pinoy. May kakampi maski papaano. Singapore companies are very service oriented. They want the customers to be satisfied always. Dapat listo ka dito.

Talking about the way of life and standard of living..normally pag bago ka dito..tendency mo is to compute or convert everything in pesos...a typical pagkain dito sa hawker centers (parang turo turo sa atin pero mas malinis at presentable) eh mga 4-5 dollars (convert mo sa pesos by multiplying 26+).

Karamihan, may tatlong bedrooms. In our case, apat kami sa bahay. Three bedrooms. Yung mga ibang kakilala namin, umaabot sila ng pito hanggang 8 sa bahay which is not very convenient na...gusto kasi nilang makatipid eh...We live in a condominium in the outskirt (mga 30 mins. north of the city). We are paying 1,700.00 dollars per month. I am alone in my room kaya ang ambag ko eh 500 dollars.

Kung ako ikaw....come to Singapore and experience something new...oks ang transpo..very convenient..hindi namimili ng pasahero ang mga taxi drivers..hindi nagbabaha..hindi masyadong malakas ang ulan...wala kasing bagyo dito eh...wala ring mapanukso dito...they are also very fashionable here..kaya maski outrageous ang dating mo..di ka nila papansinin..to each his own...

sabihin mo lang sa akin kung magkano ang makukuha mo as salary and I will tell you kung Oks na yan para mabuhay ka dito ng matiwasay at makapag ipon...Ako balak ko kasi mga one to two year lang dito..stepping stone to US kung baga...

totoo yung fact about the cars here...ang mahal dito..yung typical na Honda City diyan eh mga 400,000 ata...dito...mga 1.5 million yun..x3 ang halaga..then ang mahal pa ng mga road taxes nila dito..registration, license, etc..kaya pag may tsiokt ka dito na bago...bigatin ka na...

CPF?..i think they already abolished this thing mga two yrs ago...hindi na applicable to sa mga foreign workers like us. Sayang nga eh..tskk..tskk...forced savings pa naman ito..hindi ko na naabutan ito..pero yung mga pinoy na nandito mga three yrs ago pa..naabutan nila ito at they are enjoying the benefits...

    oki lah?
    Hi Swatch,

I intentionally sent you a private message hoping to have your immediate feedback the soonest but the I received a warning that your inbox is full.

Below are summary of inquiries I would like to have your opinions based on your experience working in SG.

    -1-
I have been working for 3 years as an Analyst, (Business Analyst (1yr) and Technical Analyst (2yrs in November and where I am currently employed)). I have worked in a known ERP provider company in Taguig and a well known EDI company in Makati right now. The responsibility is not that different. Working in ERP provider company gave me a background on SDLC and use some BA tools. Working in an EDI company gave me more technical analysis skillset. Bottomline, I fix bugs/defects and create fix or create new design/process. I have read a site, http://www.kellyservices.com.sg/ stating that my field will let me earn 4000-6000SGD. This ranges for 3-5yrs experience. With my current experience, could you give me your opinion and what is the actual salary for this kinda work?

    -2-
I have a girlfriend also planning to work there. Nursing undergrad who is planning to work there also in Food industry, I don't know the exact term being used for Restaurant services. She was not able to had her course finished due to financial problem. This is the reason why she wanted to work in Singapore to earn and save and pay those school balances and continue the last semester. She does not have an experience in Food/Restaurant service industry but has 6 months working experience as an online dealer in Online Casino. With her status, are there any chances that will get her to work in SG? And how much is the expected pay?

    -3-
What are the options that we can choose so we can apply in SG?

    -4-
If we are to work there, how much is the estimated rent for a flat? A pad with kitchen area and a private CR will suffice, even it has no bedroom? If this is not available, what options we can choose so we can live together for us also to save money?

may hiring ba for Technical Support/IT Helpdesk diyan sa SG? I have a background with troubleshooting ISP issues, email configuration pero hindi yung pang Level 2 type na job. yung nature of job ko is pang-BPO/CC.

kung meron man, ilang taon yung contract?

follow-up question: If ever na maganda yung lagay ko sa SG let say for example may 2-3 years contract ako then naka-1 year na ako mahigit, eligible na ba ako mag-apply for PR (Permanent Residency)?

    thanks in advance

Online lang ako nag apply. JobsDB/Monster/Jobstreet. Direct hire,

It helps kung medyo specialized yung experience/skillset mo kasi pag
interesado talaga yung company sayo, sila mismo gagawa ng paraan
para macontact ka, kahit saan ka man.

    hi,
if i may ask, paanu po kung mag reregister and magpapass ako ng resume sa monster.com eh I'm still working here in the Philippines anung address ang ilalagay ko duon sa resume na ipapass ko sa kanila? Is it my address dito sa manila or address and phone number of someone that I know of in singapore? I hope you can help me dito sa query ko.

    Thanks.

  18. #3578
^ Ilagay mo yung Philippines address at contact mo pag nasa Philippines ka parin habang nag-aaply. Wag mong gamitin
yung contact ng ibang tao, like yung kakilala mo sa Singapore. Paano pag biglang
