why? will you be discouraged to go to a place if you know the locals have obnoxious smell?

I like travelling around asia and india is one place that i wanted to go to except a freind who've been there told me that sobrang shocking daw ang amoy doon (as in mabaho daw). im not sure if this is true (and i know there are a lot of mababahong lugar din dito) but is this true? ok, if there is one thing na nabubwisit ako - yung mabahong amoy talaga (di ko kaya ang anghit - nagsusuka ako. so in one of my trips sa kowloon, nung nagpunta ako sa tiangge doon -- karamihan ng ****** na naroon - me b.o - nagsususuka ako). so i just want to know - gaano kalala ang amoy sa india? para lang alam ko. also, the indian men ogle a lot daw (though it's not one of my pet peeve hehe).

India? It's a great place to be in sans the garbage and too much livestock na nakatambay doon (cattle, buffalo, donkeys, etc.)

been there for about 6 months so i hould know . the food is great (mura na masarap pa) and is spicy (kathi kabab egg roll yata yung nakapost sa taas). healthy pa. you must also try dosa (sh*t, miss ko na to) palak paneer, muttar paneer, butter chicken, golab jamun, soan papdi, etc.

places? better go to rajasthan if you want to see the desert and a lot of forts (magsasawa ka). you can go and travel around jaipur and jaisalmer for around 5 days by yourself for only 5000-7000 rupees, including train accommodations na yan ha (yung 1st class na by yourself, hindi yung parang scenes sa TAR). pero this is without any guide whatsoever. meron kasing travelling agency na hawak ng government which is very cheap. agra is great since nandoon yung taj mahal and delhi is so-so. mas ok pa rin ang manila . madaming package na ganyan, jaipur-delhi-agra pero 3 days lang

i suggest going to the northern states (himachal pradesh) and visit shimla and the other surrounding cities over there, especially during winter because of the sceneries. snow slopes, pine and cedar trees, hill forts, etc.

one more thing: never forget to drop by the philippine embassy sa new delhi (chanakyapuri). grabe ang hospitality at closeness ng mga pinoys dun. open dinner (with the ambassador and minister ha) every friday, with get-together parties every philippine holidays. fyi: 1 sa mga chief engineers na gumawa ng 'mrt' sa new delhi ngayon is a Filipino, cebuano in particular

this could be attributed to the amount of spices that they eat. totoo yan

natandaan ko nga noon na after a week, naaamoy ko na yung kinakain kong spices sa urine and fe*** ko

and yup, indian men ogle a lot, especially sa mga magaganda na girls. balot na balot kasi yung mga girls sa Delhi, with the skirts, sarees and all :naught

tama ka for the oct-dec months kasi baka makakuha ka pa ng discount (except for december) kasi holiday season yan sa india dahil sa week long dansherra festival (btw, balik akong india around feb next year). tama ka din for april-may-early june dahil lalagnatin ka talaga sa init saka nagkakasandstorm pa minsan kahit sa mismong city. first day ko nun tapos ang bumulaga sa bintana ko nung paggising ko is isang sandstorm

it is safe to be there alone if you are a man. kung babae ka wag na lang kasi ang new delhi is the no.1 dangerous place for women, due to the very high no. of rape cases. saka mababa tingin ng mga indians sa mga babae. so kung girl ka, make it a point na may kasama ka for safety reasons

indian men really stare. as in. hindi lang sa pretty girls, basta babae ata.

  11. #31
Parang Bicol at Manila example.

that would be one of the things that i consider...kasi naman, i want to prepare myself what to expect. Mejo sensitive kasi nose ko and i want to enjoy my vacation rather than closing my nose. But kung sabi ng mga nakapunta that sometimes mas grabe sa Singapore, then maybe its not that bad...

Went to India for a week on a business trip. Didn't really enjoy the neighborhood I went to (Powai, Mumbai), but the food was great. I miss the Palak Paneer dish and all the vegetarian pizza. I thought all the tricycle driver were nice naman, no one overcharged me I kinda liked their tricycle, maluway, sa atin pangit. And malayo nararating hehe

  18. #38
tricycle ng india -- "auto", short for autorickshaw.
