wala akong makitang MS narelevant sa field ko. Communications/Telecoms kasi yung field na napuntahan ko.

Yung inoofer lang sa mapua eh MS ECE major in microelectronics, MS ECE major in control systems, MS ECE major in material science..

Sana magkaron ng MS ECE major in computer and communications like the MEP program.

    MBA? Magkakaron ba tayo nyan?

^ It's very possible, considering may Business Ad. programs na tayo.

Wala bang relevant na program sa'yo dun sa ino-offer ng Engineering Research Consortium? Scholarship pa yun.

    Hello Everyone!

I'm planning to take MS Computer Engineering at Mapua Institute of Technology. Any feedback regarding MS Computer Engineering at MIT?

    Thanks in advance!

Guys, I'm new here! I'm also planning to attend grad school.
And I like to study at Mapua kasi they're the best when it comes to engineering.

    BG info about me:
Electrical Engineer, Technical Buyer at a utilities/power company.

Choosing bet. MIT's: MS Electrical Engg or Engg Mgt programs.

I want to take something na pwede kong mai-apply sa maraming paraan. (Sana walang magalit) But when I checked the curriculum of EnMgt, konti lang kasi ang mga subjects na applicable sa work ko...ata (same goes for MSEE, not related to my work)

But I'm actually planning din kasi in the future to teach and hopefully shift to designing in a construction industry.

Any advice or comments in these programs? Thanks!!!

    Up lang for this thread.

Sana more feedback regarding MIT's Graduate Studies especially to those who already graduated.

    Thank you!

Siguro if I'll take MBA (or anything related to engineering management), DLSU would be one of my choices sir. Pero MS Electrical Engineering sana ang gusto ko i-take. And I don't think I could afford DLSU's tuition fee.

if business related go for LS

pero if engineering ms not so sure for the ranking of mapua

Hello! I'm planning to take a Master's Degree anytime soon (at DLSU). Pero gusto ko lang po sana maliwanagan pa about the difference between Master of Engineering and Master of Science in ECE. Well aside from MEP being the non-thesis program ano pa po yung meron yung isa na wala yung isa and v.v.?

I'm currently working and I'll be a part-time student if ever.

Hope you guys can help me. Thanks.

Check the curriculum of courses sa website ng preferred school/s mo. Usually dun mo makikita *** difference nila when it comes to the subjects na ite-take mo

I would love to study at LS or ADMU kung MBA. They're one of the best in my opinion.

Oh, ganun? Hmmm.. I've always thought na maganda ang engineering ng mapua. That's my perception about them. Salamat pa din.

I think I might go for MBA or Engineering Management at my alma mater.

    What is Master of Engineering?

    - It is a PROFESSIONAL master's degree with high emphasis on industrial applications and practical skills
    - More coursework with less research components, though it may require a scholarly research/project in relation to the field of study
    - Curriculum is technical and skill-based and may include engineering management, business administration in relation to engineering and leadership
    - Comprehensive exam may be taken in lieu of thesis/dissertation
    - Suited for private practice, industry practitioners, engineer management professionals, and engineering entrepreneurs

What is Master of Science in Engineering?

    - It is an ACADEMIC or RESEARCH master's degree with emphasis on engineering research
    - More emphasis on research than coursework
    - Curriculum is highly theoretical and research-based for the advancement of engineering education and research
    - Thesis/dissertation is required; some are also required to take a comprehensive exam in conjunction with a thesis/dissertation
    - Suited for academicians, researchers, scientists and industry practitioners
    - Ideal for individuals planning to pursue a PhD degree

IMO, Mapua has excellent engineering programs in the undergraduate level. But for graduate studies, I'm not sure if Mapua's programs are at par or as strong as La Salle's graduate programs although both are part of the ERDT consortium.

La Salle's tuition may be expensive, but they're VERY GENEROUS in giving scholarships compared to other private universities.

13k plus for 6-units in one term? May I know the subjects/course offered in MS and MEP in Electrical Engineering? Thanks.
