Good day y'all!

My fiancee has always dreamt of a wedding where there are a lot of butterflies flying around.

I'd like to ask if anyone here knows of a butterfly farm? Or maybe anyone who can let me buy me lots of butterflies...

hi,

we released butterflies during our wedding last december 2005. our supplier was Acclaim Butterflies. we got them on a promo price of P2500 for 50 butterflies. we released half of it during the bridal walk and the other half during the first dance at the reception.

butterflies are very significant to us. since, my parents are both deceased. it's a sign for us that they are in some ways still with us in spirit. others are saying that they are releasing butterflies as a sign that parents are freely releasing their children for marriage.

during our wedding rites, one butterfly stayed on my veil. nakakakilabot while seeing the video and i cried. feel na feel ko talaga yung presence ng parents ko.

I had a butterfly wedding too last December 2003. The butterflies were one of the best touches we had. We got married in the province and for many of our guests, the butterfly theme was a first and they were pleasantly surprised. It was "table talk" in their households for many months, I was told.

I highly recommend Wings of Dreams, the best, sobra! They were very accomodating and were quick to fax me (long distance!) everything I needed to know. They also facilitated all necessary papers needed to ship/ fly live animals to our city. I picked them up at the airport.

We also rented wrought iron butterfly holders so:

- flower girls carried heart-shaped butterlfy wands
- junior bridesmaids carried butterlfy treasure chests/ cage
- bridesmaids carried butterfly globes

Each holder had a butterfly fluttering inside. Ganda ng effect.

And instead of doves, we did a 100 butterfly release. The outdoor evening reception made it all the more beautiful kasi we had spotlights over the butterfly cage when it was time. Beautiful.

Ngayon, butterfles are a common theme in weddings so there are still a lot more ideas you can come up with.

ok lang kahit nkaenvelope & nakacage. ang difference lang, pwede mo pa pakainin yung butterflies pag nakacage. pag busog sila, hindi sila lilipad ng mataas agad. dadapo sila kaya mas maganda para makuha sa pictures.

Yung sa Wings of Dreams, the butterflies were delivered in envelopes but they were already fed. Since they were given to us a day in advance (out of town wedding kasi eh), they also gave us extra nectar and instructions on how to feed.

Release: Our first release was at church, after the wedding. We had our butterfly cages (globe) from Wings of Dreams. Ninongs and ninangs had theirs in envelopes. We all released at the same time, ganda ng effect. At the reception, we did a 2nd release (instead of doves). 100 butterflies naman yun, nasa cage. Ganda ring ng effect.

how much di u pay for this supplier (para sa lahat ng product/service that u had with them)? im planning to get a W@W tag and base on last year's waw bridal fair, mejo mganda *** discount na inooffer nila... (baka sakali meron ulet silang discounts this june...)

^^ ninjathet0312, my wedding was in 2003 pa, but if I remember it right, the butterflies cost around P50 - P55 each. Since we ordered a lot, I got it at bulk price. Sa rentals ng butterfly cages (globes, heart-shaped wands, treasure chests, display cage), affordable naman... at that time, it was around P30 - P50 for the globes, wands, etc, yung display cage lang medyo mahal ang rental.... siguro around P300. You need to pay a deposit, which will be paid back to you upon return of cages. I'm not entirely sure of the prices, paki check nalang sa website nila. For the butterflies and cages alone, we probably spent around P20,000, including extras for delivery to my out-of-town location (bacolod).

usually the butterfly they release it on the reception, but others release it on the church but it depends if the priest will allow... you can use both envelope for your guest and box for the two of you...
