    ano ang artichoke sa tagalog? or may nagtatanim ba nito dito satin? canned form lang kasi nakita ko sa santi's, so yun na lang ginamit namin for paella

    kintsai....masarap yan sa pancit gisado.

    pwede din gamitin panggamot sa bukol o panglanggas
    sa bagong tuli.

    Kinchay=wansuy=cilantro=corriander. Medyo magkakaiba sila ng itsura pero same species lang.

    kinchay is different from cilantro... the taste is totally different and it looks totally different.

    wansoy, cilantro and coriander are the same... they dont just belong to the same species, they are one and the same plant. and hindi sila magkaiba ng itsura.

    i love kintsay (lalo sa pancit) and i hate cilantro, ayoko ng lasa. spanish people often use this in their dishes...like tacos or burritos. they are very much different from each other.

    Wansoy(ui) and Kintsay are chinese terms diba?

    Yan Shi, Fan Yan Sui, Yuen sai, Wan-Swee, heong choy....... nagkaloko-loko na.

    I'll just call them - Silantro, pero sa Palengke Kulantro ang alam kong tawag sa cilantro.

    uh.. no.. artichoke and puso ng sagig are totally differnt things. soo my guess is wala nyan sa tagalog.. since WE DONT HAVE ARTICHOKES HERE.

    Since wala(daw?) nyan sa tagalog, i think it can be called by it's Spanish name since dami din sa tagalog words eh Spanish... it's Arcachofas.

    thanks mc_316, alcachofa will do kung wala pa tayong translation sa tagalog. it's definitely not puso ng saging, though parang ganon ang consistency nya, pero unique ang taste contribution nya sa paella, nagblend perfectly well don sa ibang ingredients based don sa recipe that i got from a book on catalan cuisine.

    re artichokes ulit, may fresh ones daw sila sa santi's festival mall aside from the imported canned product, though hindi ko nakita sino supplier nila, most likely antonio's farm ito.
