A good place to get supplier referrals would be the Weddings at Work yahoogroups. In any case, my suppliers were as follows:

Coordinator - U.R. Invited (pronounced "You're Invited"); Satisfactory; Remarks - They gave is a very good price and they work diligently. Masipag and good on the details. However, they're not so good on ideas. If you'll engage them for your wedding, you'll have to come up w/ your own ideas and tell them what to do.

Church - Nuestra Senora de Gracia (Guadalupe, Makati); Very Good; Remarks - Excellent "Old Church" ambience, nice on the photos. Not too big, so the church doesn't look empty.

Reception - Baluarte de San Diego (Intramuros); Below Average; Excellent ambience and landscaping, set along the historic walls of Intramuros. However, the place is managed by the gov't agency called "Intramuros Administration" and there were a number of times when they charged us for certain items that we did nor incur. This was after we had made clear with them what we ought to be paying for. After our wedding, they refunded us for these charges when we threatened to sue them. Maybe it would have been better to choose a private venue like Fr. Blanco's Garden.

Catering - Elars; Excellent; Great service and price. Remarks - Their lechon-and-paella buffet was delicious. Waiters are snappy to the point that they go around the venue offering to pour wine in the glasses of our guests so they wouldn't have to stand up and go to the wine station themselves.

Cake - Sugarbox (Podium basement); Very good; Remarks - Try the apple walnut cake.

Gown - Patrice Ramos-Diaz; Excellent; Remarks - Patrice might be downsizing her operations in the Philippines bec. she has to divide her workload between Shanghai and Manila.

Barong - Linea Maschile (Pasong Tamo near Shopwise); Very Good

Choir - Canto Cinco (c/o Sonolux inside Ateneo University); Good; Remarks - In fairness, they did a good job based on their Bukas Palad-style of singing. However, a more opera-oriented choir like Philippine Madrigal Singers or Ateneo Chamber Singers would have been better-suited for a wedding.

Givaways - c/o Celine Gabriel (she works for L'Oreal); Excellent; Good product for the price we paid. We selected a Chinese purse w/ a tag inside. But they have other items as well.

Paunang hirit: Wala po kaming coordinator at ang lahat ay personal naming tinutukan. Pero mga kapatid, nakakatuwa pa rin kasi 2 suppliers ang nakapansin na organized daw kami (wahehe, shempre anyabang ko naman di ba?) Me mga unforeseen events pa rin na nangyari sa kasal. Una yung ring bearer namin, nasukahan ang gown ng MOB. Deadma na lang, walang Ring Bearer na nag-march. Pangalawa, nag-brownout sa reception (nagkaron kami ng libreng fireworks at me nagcomment pang “Ayy! Ang romantic!” hahaha). Susme. Nag-apoy na yung wire ng Meralco, di pa rin masyadong nahalata. Salamat sa luminaries. Yun pala ang silbi non J Sa 265K, din a rin matatawaran ang galing ng mga suppliers involved. 220 ang guests. Pano nagkasya? Isa-isahin po natin:

1. Blue Petals Catering
Peso Power: 75,590.00 (220 heads)
Rating: 10
Reasons:
a. Sobrang ok na service (mula initial meeting hanggang wedding day). Sila mismo nagbibigay ng fresh ideas. Every meeting namin, almost 3-4hrs kami inaabot sa sobrang particular namin sa details but they’re very patient. On the day itself, nung nawalan ng electricity, they utilized the luminaries by putting them on the guest tables.
b. Daming guests ang nagcomment na masarap yung food.
c. Sa P220 per head, complete na ang menu: pork, fish, beef, chicken, pasta, drinks, and panghimagas.

2. Ariel Javelosa Photography
Peso Power: 53,055.00 (includes prenup, 8x10 digital album, 2 mini-album, 1 signature frame, 1 tarpulin, 16x20 blow-up canvass, video in vcd/vhs/dvd)
Rating: 10 (separate rating will be given for the album upon receipt)
Reasons:
a. Sa meeting, walang problem. Madali silang makausap thru email or phone.
b. For prenup pictorial, we went to four locations: studio, hotel, church, and reception. Praktisadong-praktisado na kami sa pose kahit prenup pa lang!
c. Mabilis makuha yung output cd (prenup and wedding shots)
d. Game yung team sa mga shots na gusto mo. I have the misconception that their photos are traditional. When I spoke to Kuya Ben & Kuya Manuel that we want our pictures to be 60% candid & wacky, I didn’t know they’d deliver super ultra great shots =)

3. Ysabelle Fashion/Bridal Factory
Peso Power: 10,100 (for the gowns of the mothers and Groom’s apparel)
Rating: 10
Reasons:
a. Mabilis kausap. Mabilis ang delivery. Maganda ang quality. Natuwa pareho ang mothers dahil specially designed and unique yung gowns nila. The groom was also happy and contented sa damit nya.

4. Leonie Bautista
Peso Power: 11,000 for 8 female entourage and 2 flower girls
Rating: 10
Reasons:
a. Madaling kausap. Mabilis ang delivery. Maganda ang quality.
b. Medyo di kami nagkaintindihan sa kulay mismo pero buti na lang ok yung kinalabasan lalo na sa pics. Natuwa naman yung female entourage ko.


5. Sugarbox Cake
Peso Power: 8,500.00 (fondant cake with 12 mini-cake)
Rating: 8
Reasons:
a. Mabilis at maayos kausap. Sa text nga lang kami madalas magcommunicate ni Ms. Emily e.
b. Masarap yung cake at nilantakan ng mga bata yung billiard balls.
c. Kulang ng 2 points kasi una nawala yung isang topper na nirequest namin and pangalawa, hindi namin nahagilap yung wishes for the single ladies. Pero after the wedding, Ms. Emily explained her side and she’s willing to make it up by sending us another minicake with the topper we missed. Not a bad idea. So let’s finalize the rating to 9 na rin. Madali naman din kami kausap.

6. Palmos Weddings (for the Bridal Gown)
Peso Power: pasensya na, secret daw po.
Rating: 9
Reasons:
a. Masarap kausap sila Mam Olie at Sir Jorge. They’ll give you suggestion about your gown and kung ano ang mga babagay dito. And kahit super busy sila, they’ll take time to take care of you. And ang sarap ng feeling pag inaasikaso ka, di ba?
b. Kulang ng 1 point kasi bumigay yung zipper sa hotel pa lang. Buti na lang me pangalawang lock kaya di halata.

7. (In the event that you experience a problem regarding a supplier's product/service, you are highly encouraged to contact the supplier and discuss the matter with them privately to give them the opportunity to air their side and resolve the matter)

8. Xstatic Sound and Lights
Peso Power: 5,000
Rating: 8
Reasons:
a. Medyo nahirapan kami nung una kontakin si Sir Mon. Hectic masyado ang sked pero nung nakausap na namin sya, madaling makapalagayan ng loob.
b. Di namin alam kung dahil sa kanila kaya bumigay yung electricity sa reception. Pero pwede rin namin di na-anticipate ng country club na ganon kalaking power supply ang makakain ng wedding namin (1st time kasi mag-hold ng wedding sa place na yon)

9. Ross Regala (HMUA)
Peso Power: 8,500 for 3 heads during wedding, 1,200 for prenup, 1000 per extra head on wedding day
Rating: 7
Reasons:
a. Personal favorite ko si Mama Ross. Magaan kasi ang kamay (he can make wonders talaga). Mabilis magtrabaho and high end ang gagamiting products sa’yo. I would’ve given him a perfect 10 kaso…
b. Before our reception, tinanggal nya ang ipit sa buhok ko. Then, picture taking na kami ng groom ko. I had no way to see kung ok ba yung new hairstyle ko so I trusted him. When I saw the pics, nanlumo ako. Nagkaron ng umbok yung part ng hair ko na nakaipit (at nilugay). And worst, sa reception wala nang naglakas ng loob magsabi na mukha na akong bruha dahil nililipad sa kung saan-saang direction ang buhok ko. And where is my HMUA? Nowhere to find.
c. Lastly, ang usapan namin is 700 for additional heads during wedding. Yung mga nagpa-makeup sa kanya, sinabihan ko. But Ross insisted na 1,000 daw ang usapan namin. Since I was busy, these ladies paid him without consulting me. There goes my favorite HMUA.

10. RCG Printing Press
Peso Power: 45.00 x 70 copies (5 pages each)
Rating: 6
Reasons:
a. Ayon sa feedback ng nakararami, ganda daw ng invitations namin.
b. Mabango, hindi nakakasawa yung amoy ng pages.
c. Kaso, hindi malinis ang trabaho. Ilang beses bumalik si En sa shop nila para ireject yung mga invitations. Grrr talaga. To think na ipi-print na nga lang nila… di nakakatuwa magpabalik-balik sa Recto ha.

11. Mang Boy Mahusay (Bridal Bouquet & Entourage flowers)
Peso Power: 7,500
Rating: 10
Reasons:
a. Ang gaan sa loob kausap, straight to the point.
b. Nung una akala ko, mahal yung package na nakuha namin. On the day itself, reasonable naman pala yung price. Di nya kami tinipid sa bulaklak. Lahat maganda! And take note, on time sya magdeliver. S’ya ang kauna-unahang supplier na dumating.
c. Kaso nawala yung red berries ng bouquet ko. Ok na rin. Nacompensate na rin ng quality deliverable nila.

Bale one stop wedding shop talagaq sya. Ok ang mga packages nya. So hindi ka na magiiba-iba pa ng suppliers kasi flowers, bridal car, cake si Judy Uson pa yung ka tie-up nya kasama yon sa packages nya bahala ka na lang mamili ng pasok sa budget. Sobrang ok ka meeting. Sila din ang wedding coordinator namin and talagang thumbs up ako. Talagang wala kang ibang gagawin kundi top enjoy that very special day.Maski yung mga guest namin ang ganda ng comments. Masarap ang pagkain, ok ang services.

2. Kenneth Uy Photography

Magaganda ang shots nya ang bilis mo pang makuha yung raw cd. Kasama yung mga unedited shot na ibibigay nya sa yo.Kami after pre-nup nakuha namin agad yung cd tapos yung undited shots nung wedding pinadala din nya after 2 days. Gaganda ng mga shots. ganda din nung blow -up portrait na ginawa nya. Sobrang ok din yung audio- visual.

3. Home and Bridal Essential

Mga wedding accessories naman ang makikita nyo dito. Ang gaganda din ng mga products nya. YUng unity candle mas mura sa kanya kesa sa wedding library. Dami pa designs na pamimilian. Tapos yung invitations namin dami na gawa nya simple but elegent dami nagandahan kaya nakakatuwa.

4. Christ the King Parish, Greenmeadows, Q.C.

Ok ang church sulit din ang binayad mo. Meron din silang place para sa reception so hindi magtravel pa yung mga guest para pumunta sa reception venue.

5. Velvet Mood

Quintet ang kinuha namin. Bale Php 12,500 ang singil nila pero ok din ang services.

6. Acclaim Butterflies - Megamall

Ok na rin. Kaya lang medyo kaasar yung tindera don mukhang hindi ako naintindihan at hindi nya nakuha yung instructions ko kasi sabi nung coordinator ilagay sa collapsible box yung ibang butterfly tapos yung iba sa envelop. Ang ginawa naman nila nilagay sa envelop yung butterflies tapos pinasok sa box. Ngeeh. So ginawa nung coordinator sila na lang ang naglipat sa box ayun namatay yung ibang butterflies. Per at least kahit papano di na masyadong halata yon, kasi my lumipad naman kahit papano.

Masyadong smooth yung preparation namin sa wedding kasi hindi ganon kadaming suppliers ang kausap at least isang tao lang halos ang kausap.

1. Ceremony : Manila Cathedral
---I think the church is really beautiful be prepared madami *** requirements. Pero at least kahit ala ka na coordinator there are ushers that will be provided during the ceremony dahil ayaw daw nila ng coordinator na pakalat-kalat at d marunong sumunod sa rules and regulations nila. But then if you want a coordinator you have to recommend the coordinator to them.
(20,000PHP with flowers na, may singer na din)
2. Reception: Puerta Real
---- The truth is I havent seen the place yet heheheh am just relying based on what my brother has told me.
(22,000PHP plus 4,000 for the electricity)

3. Wedding gown and Barong:

Very accomodating c Malou she will ask you what design you want and then gagawan ka nya ng sarili nya sketch based on your ideal gown.

---- She's the sister of my designer they have a very beautiful and unique design of invites. You can also alter the designs based on your taste. Native materials mostly ang gamit nila.

hello guys! m currently looking for photographer and videographer services for my wedding this coming november. maybe u could recommend someone na u have tried and the work came out excellent naman.
one of the person i heard is lito genilo of smart shot. is he good? sabi nila medyo late daw sya lagi sa mga skeds. is this true? are his works good and maganda ba ang labas ng mga pics and video? is he the one who personally take the shots on the wedding day itself?

is he personally (lito genilo) the one who took the shot sa wedding mo? or yong mga 2nd team *** nya? i heard daw na lagi daw syang late sa mga appts.. is this true? got hold of his package and medyo affordable naman. it thnk nasa 60K wid all the inclusive which for me is quite a good package. though yon nga, medyo worried ako sa work nya..if ok tlaga ir hindi=)
