I have a friend who love to eat at these jolli jeeps. I am planning on giving them a whirl next week.

Naaalala ko pa nung ang Jolli-Jeep eh talagang mga jeepney pa and not the aluminum contraptions they are now. One Jolli-jeep in Valero near our office specialized in adobong itik. My budget conscious colleagues convinced me to try it and I was embarrassed to death that somebody I know might see me eating on a plate wrapped in plastic bag... on the street. So I ate inside the VIP section of the Jolli-Jeep. Back then you can eat inside the jeepney seats of the Jolli-jeep.

^ Was it during the mid 1950s? Kerima Polotan Tuvera wrote an essay about jeepney carinderias entitled, "The Happy Hoi Polloi" and the food lists she mentioned were very enticing.

At least man lang mukhang maayos yung pagkakaluto.

    ^Lahat kaya mukhang madumi!

Winner yung lechon kawali nila and yung kare-kare.
