    Unhappy Sayang.

It's true. I really wanted the Archers to face the Eagles sana sa finals. And hindi nga "deep inside" yon, eh. I've been very vocal about it. Sayang talaga.
I was there sa Ninoy kanina (I watched the game of the Lady Archers kasi, tapos tinapos ko na din yung main game), and ang malas talaga ng Eagles. Their 3pointers just weren't finding their marks. Not that their shots were off-line, pero parang nilalabas nung ring yung mga balls, eh!
I never ever thought that one day I would find myself shouting the words "ONE BIG FIGHT"......pero kanina, I was belting that line out almost just as loud as I would have shouted ANIMO LASALLE. Sayang talaga.

Yeah me too Xiaoyu! I watched the FEU-Admu game last Saturday and syempre I wanted Ateneo to win. Never ko ring inisip na mag-cheer at sumigaw ng "One Big Fight" and "Blue Eagle Spelling!" pero I simply wanted Ateneo to meet us in the Finals. For the past five years as a Lasallian I have yet to experience a classic La Salle - Ateneo finals. Haaay. Maybe next time. Kakainis nga puro talo! Kahapon our fellow Green Archer Eva Ditan didn't make it sa Olympics, so did Roberto Cruz and a Filipino steeplechaser landed last. Pero anyway, that's fate. At least they fought till the end. In the long run, what mattered was the determination and effort to win.

Winning a three-peat is now becoming a reality.
    Just believe.

    As always,

It was as painful for La Sallians that Ateneo did not qualify for the finals. This could have been the opportunity to avenge the defeat of 1988.

However, things did not fall into place the way everybody wanted it to. This vengeance now has to wait another year.

Lets just roast Montinola and liquidate FEU in the finals.

.... all these times, i'm hoping for a la salle-ateneo in the finals, kaso lang di talaga, e.... i watched both their games against feu in the final four, and i can say that they really did their best .... even the dlsu pep squad was cheering for ateneo to win!

    .... anyway, there's always next season ...

I must not be a Lasallian then...because I was cheering for FEU.

Mind you, not only I, but a lot more people were actually rooting for FEU than you guys think.

    Cool

SAYANG it would be a great finals kung natuloy ang DLSU ADMU, but hindi eh. Maganda sana kung nangyari yun, the rivalries between our school and Ateneo had been there for like ages, frosh palang ako naririnig ko na yan.

Let's face it, DLSU and ADMU just loves hate each others *** maybe next year

My reaction when I found out Ateneo lost: "Aargh, I can't believe they blew it!"

    Such a pity. Would've been a classic.

Oh well, FEU does have hold-overs from their last finals encounter with La Salle. That kinda makes them the worthier opponent 'cause of their championship experience.

with the way at-neo played last thursday, lasalle would have swept them the finals series.

    Cool

    Agree ako dyan

Ateneo is the worthiest opponent that la salle could ever have in the finals...kahit nung high-school pa lang...i have high respects for an ateneo-lasalle game...i only played against ateneo once, but we lost...but i thought both squads played their best...ganun din sa uaap...when it's DLSU vs. ADMU, expect the best brand of basketball the uaap can offer...but i guess that offer will have to wait until next season...oh well, i hope that ateneo will go to the finals with dlsu next year...until then, i'll watch from my screen na lang yelling...

    Cool

sorry to my atenean friends, but i'm glad di nakaabot sa championship ang eagles. lalo kasing yayabang sina ruckus, linux23, lapis lazuli at teen idol. si kurt angle, oks lang, nakakatawa kasi, nagmumukhang ***** lang. buti nga sa inyo!!! hahahaha!!!

and not to hedge my bets or anything, but if feu does win the championship, at least the archers weren't top seeds, so they went so much further than anyone expected. truth be told, i thought they'd wind up fourth and eliminated in the final four. o, me of little faith!

eh yung ateneo, preseason tourney favorites ang mga yun. daming press releases and publicity stunts generated by their hype machine. tapos, wala rin!!! bwahahaha!!!

syempre, avenging the 1988 finals loss would really be so sweet. and it really is a dream finals match: la salle v. ateneo. i wished ganoon nga. but for now, i'll just savor the fact that these so-called ateneans have eggs all over their spoiled-brat faces.

i was definitely a big disappointment. i would have been at the NAS last thursday if i didnt have to review for a test the following day. sayang talaga, i was also cheering and most importantly praying that the blue eagles would win kaso lang, di talaga sila nakalusot. sayang!!!

    Thumbs down

So what does that mean when most of SPO wanted a DLSU-FEU finals? We are not Lasallian enough?

Being in the press, we get first hand details. And according to coaches, Ateneo is an easier opponent as seen in their Final Four encounter against FEU.

Now why would we, the press, wanted a more difficult team to face the Archers? So that the hype and expectations finally shut up? So that there would be a better challenge for the crown?

At first, I thought that the FEU win was a fluke since they lost their next game to Ateneo with a big margin. Guess I was wrong...

While I was making my Final Four analysis for FEU, something was convincing me that they are really a good team. Hey, I got to talk to coach Coy Banal even before the season started, so that should be an advantage, a headstart, even a bias.

Of the two losses of the Archers, the one against FEU was more convincing since it had two overtimes and the one against Ateneo was a "no-bearing" game for De La Salle.

So again, here's the luck needed for both green teams.
