Ada, I've also watched Autumn in New York. Medyo bitin nga yung story eh. Some parts medyo nakakakilig pero di ako nakaiyak, kasi parang there's something missing in the story.

X-Men the Movie.

What was all the fuss about?

Maybe for the X-Men die hards (who were one in proclaiming the cinematic excellence of this film), the excitement brought about by the pure anticipation of their heroes/heroines coming alive on the big screen was enough to carry over into their appreciation of the movie.

actually, when you watch any jerry bruckheimer produced film, get ready to see hollywood at it's most stereotypically commercial, and not an oscar winner. don't expect it to enrich your life, give enlightenment, provide anything of real artistic value.

but if you think of it as an 80-peso floor show or a 2-hour music video, 'k na rin ang mga coyotes! ogle to death na lang sa gorgeous girls at cutiepie boys.

but since we're talking about totally regrettable forays into the cinema, the first one i thought of was autumn in new york. i am a sucker for romantic movies, but that one just made me sick! eeewww talaga! lahat na lang ng ka-cliche-han at ka-cheesy-han!

and the most unforgettably inappropriate and most badly written line in that movie of badly written lines was:

"...but what about love?"

aaaaarrrrrgggggh! can i just slash my wrists?!?!?! torture!

wala siyang story to speak of, at least not anything that hasn't been told and retold in countless maalala mo kaya, coney reyes on camera, or lovingly yours episodes, and i'm just talking about local mushy tv dramas.
