I started giving my baby cereals when he was 3 months pero breakfast lang ... lov ena love niya ... ang takaw!

Then now that he's 4 months .. .squash naman .. .pero morning din ...

Puro veggie muna para love niya lasa nito ...

mga moms, give naman kayo ng ideas as to how you make natural food for your babies.. yung fruits & veggies. ayaw ko kse magbigay ng puro rice cereals. kahit papano they still have chemicals on it di ba.

Starting solids - baby food recommendations and recipes [Merged]

hi! my baby will start eating solid foods next month. some are saying that i should mash the foods, because my baby might not learn how to chew foods or get the habit of not chewing foods if i use a blender, others say that it doesn't matter. i need your opinion here...hope to hear from you guys since i'm already quite confused!

i blend them para sure they dont choke. just dont blend potatoes, it will turn out into one sticky, ikcy mess. hindi ala mashed potatoes.

what i did was first to mash them by hand (a fork will do) & strained them.

start with very simple foods like lugaw (that's not so watered down) camote, squash & carrots all cooked without salt.

be very careful with bananas. be sure to mash them. although soft to us, it is a choking hazard.

by 9 months, i blend his food na (lugaw, liver, spinach) or (chicken, carrots) then by 11 months blended but not that blended anymore. makikita mo na if he has teeth. so just go by that.

don't make mealtimes too long also (1 hour).

buy the book what to expect the first year. it'll answer a lot of baby questions. it has answered mine. a book costs about 700 at national but it's worth every cent.

    Baby Food

I want your ideas and suggestions please...

Which baby food will I feed my baby? Gerber or Nestle Baby? Or do you have any other brands in mind?

And which variants are the best? There are so many variants to choose from, and I don't know which one my baby will like...

    Thanks!

I fed my baby either Gerber or Nestle, and he liked both. He hated beans, though… we had a couple belching sessions with that one. I had no problems with either brands.

Introduce new food and juices to your baby one at a time. That way, you’ll know if he or she develops allergies from the food you gave. Pretty soon, you’ll know what the favorites are.

Although I started with bottled food, my experience with baby feeding is that nothing beats the food you yourself prepare. Making your own baby food isn’t as hard as you think. When we made our soups, I’d separate some for my son before adding in salt and spices. My baby loves mashed pumpkin with rice!

    Nestle. I prefer it.

Go natural though .. .add squash or sayote or potato and carrot para healthier ...

has anybody here know where to buy milupa baby cereal (i'm not sure if the spelling is correct)? because i heard that the taste is blander.

Our kids have never tried boxed nor bottled food. It's a lot easier and cheaper if you make it at home yourself. Start with the basics...mashed root crops, fruits, veggies...

i used to buy milupa sa mercury outlets, try looking there..

be careful lang on feeding your toddlers with gerber and nestle baby foods, yung baby ko dati nagsobrang yellow yung skin nya.. doctors said, either nasobrahan sa yellow foods(like squash flavored gerber) or nasobrahan sa food coloring.. although they declare na walang food coloring yun.

the best pa din ang home made baby foods.

homemade baby foods ang binibigay ko ngayon sa baby ko. pero meron na rin akong stock n gerber and nestle baby. as of now, puro homemade muna since may time naman ako na mag-prepare.

i just boil different combinations of greens, potatoes, chicken, pasta, rice, peas, squash... etc etc puree it in a blender and use nestle's wheat, banana, and milk to thicken the consistency. no salt or sugar added. you gotta get your kid used to home cooked food early on.

diwata28, you might want to delay giving your baby solids until 6 months. It's recommended to exclusively breastfeed your baby until 6 months and this will also lessen possible allergies.

My baby is 8 months now and loves chicken combined with any fruit. Syempre pureed na chicken yun. I tried getting him to eat Nestle Food but he prefers home cooked meals ...

Sharing lang ... kahit anu naman pwede na kainin ni baby at this age e save for egg white ... and spices.

I still recommend home made baby food esp yung yellow veggies....I have a friend na talagang sa sobrang busy nila lumaki sa Gerber ang baby nila....till the baby reached one ayaw ng kahit anong gawa sa bahay....kumusta na kaya yun....

so new mommies --- careful lang...pag naman ayaw kumain give your baby supplement ...PEDIASURE....check first with the doctor kasi baka may reaction sa babies ninyo.,.....since my baby before was not eating solid food so well so i mixed formula with PEDIASURE then it works....naku naman ngayon tabatsing-tsing ang dalaga ko...she is 9 now...mukha ni hopia
