    Cool

^ sis, try Avon's Kiss & Shine in T@ng or Butterscotch. It's on sale until Feb 15, only P99 down from P250. it looks good with the smokey eyes look.

the current trend is to make the smokey eyes look more "silvery" rather than dark and black like before. to update your style, lightly dust white eyeshadow on your eyelids as the top layer, and a few smudges of pearlescent applique balls in a platinum shade (try the Body Shop or Christian Dior) on the browbone and inside corner of the eye.

also, when going for the smokey eyes look, don't use too bright blush or overly shiny lipstick; you want the emphasis to be on the eyes.

    hope that helps!

^went to landmark kanina, Avon wasn't on sale, but beside the booth is Nichido! And so I bought nichido lipgloss and nichido nude sheer lipstick with shea butter, they're so nice!!! am actually testing them on my lips right now, and im about to sleep! I also bought EB Soft Spice, just the blush that i want!

    Great great buys!!!

i have EB blush in tan, super nice siya. pansin ko mas okay ang texture nung screw top kesa flip top.

    mistine cheek stain, parang benetint!

andami na palang napapaganda ng EB! ill switch to EB na nga rin.. ill go buy some for myself mamaya!

thanks sa mga cool tips! galing ng varnished look tip mo Cyberspacebabe!

yeyin: hehe, it's nice to share kikay tips. i also learn a lot from the pretty people here. keep it up, sistahs!

dati din, di ako sure whether i should try local/over-the-counter prods like EB, Nichido, Aido, Fashion21, etc, but I was convinced to give it a try partly because of the good reviews of the Pex post-ers here. i'm glad i did because it's chic, but cheap (in price, but not in look). at true un, kahit gaano kamahal/quality ng makeup mo but di bagay sa yo or di ka marunong maglagay, it will look horrid on you.

tanong ko naman, anong ok n concelear. yung hindi nag cake sa mata... yung iba kasi lalong nadedefine ang lines under the eyes eh! morena po ako... on the lighter side din

This is the varnished look; the blotting & powdering process seals in the color and gets the stain into the liplines, reducing them considerably (the goal is to make the lips appear as smooth as possible). The lip gloss plumps up the lips and removes the matte effects of the setting powder.

I have also tried "varnishing" using lighter-colored lipstick (pink & peach), but it looks better with darker hues. Pair with neutral eyeshadow & blush (like apricot/beige). Skip the colored mascara (brush on clear instead), but outline the eyes with light blue or lavender liner to get the Spring '06 runway look.
I bought this tinted lipgloss from australia that gives me that look galing un pala un. tuwang tuwa si bf sa lips ko pag un nilalagay ko

Talking Summer Update!!! Get the Nautical Look!!! :)

As summer season fast approaches, makeup colors begin to be "warmer" to balance out the brilliant, tropical hues of beachwear.

To get the sun-kissed "nautical" look that's hot nowadays, keep things at a BARE MINIMUM (besides, you don't want to look like a melted wedding cake now, do you?! )

Emphasis is on the eyes this season (the area least likely to smudge and streak given our El Nino weather). Outline eyes with brown/beige liner, and LIGHTLY apply an earthy color of shadow (bronze, brown, terracotta, dark brick red, copper, gold). No complicated contouring, and keep it minimal, meaning up to 2 complementary colors only. For lips and cheeks, stick to light pinks and peaches. Bronzer or shiny face powder looks good with this style.

Cheap-but-chic suggestion: Careline's Eyeshadow Duo in 102. I got mine for only P102 (along with a brown eyeliner and Fresh Tomato blusher) from Mercury Drug.

If you want to go more pricey, get Shu Uemura's Limited Edition Harajuku Palette. It costs P9,500 at Rustan's (guuuulp), but the texture and the lasting power is unbelievably long-lasting and smooth.

can anyone suggest a cheap-but-chic MASCARA? i'm currently using EB's long-lash in black, but maybe there's something out there that's even better (yet still not super-expensive!)

because BIG LASHES are back in vogue!!! sometimes, I skip all other makeup (even lip gloss), but i curl my lashes and put on mascara!

recently bought an ever bilena lip&cheek tint in bloom - parang wala, and not the barely there natural look - talagang parang wala lol. did i buy the wrong shade?

i'm looking for a peachy warm kind of blush; i prefer the gel form over powders and creams, kala ko eb was it for me, recommend naman a specific shade from the other bargain brands

my skintone: i'm on the fair side, medyo yellow bec i have konti chinese blood pero i am naturally blushy kasi "mapula" father ko

^ i'm not really that familiar with cream blushes (i prefer powder & liquid, since I have oily skin), but I'll try asking our eds.

cheap substitute for expensive bronzer: Starlight Shine blush by Careline. Perfect for morena to kayumanggi skin.

hi, im new here. the reason why i joined is because of this fabulous thread! grabe, galing!
anyway, share din ako ng ilang tips.
after putting cream concealer, i top it with powder-concealer in yellow na galing sa Mom and Me. mura lang talaga sya; ako i bring my own container para mas mura. tas kahit wala kang concealer, okay pa rin syang ilagay under the eyes esp. if u use eyeliner. kasi hindi bumabagsak yung eyeliner hence ndi nagmumukang racoon yung eyes ko. i cant live w/o eyeliner kasi e. w/c brings me to my next topic: eyeliner

can anyone recommend a good one? im currently using EB brown eyeliner, yung retractable (ndi na kelangan ng sharpener). kaso naluluha ako with this, parang nasisilam yung eyes ko.
anyone recommend a good one? dati i use clinique, kaso ang mahal. gusto ko sana *** ndi na din tinatasahan and creamy yung effect para madaling ilagay. thanks!

other tip for long-haired girls: after maligo, towel-dry your hair then put Citre Shine sa hair nyo (concentrate sa ends) they ilagay sa may harap yung hair...dont tuck under your ears while basa pa. ganda ng hair nyo whole day! bonus: prevent split ends. wag lang i-overdose kasi magiging limp yung hair.
*** 200+ na bottle will last very long. kaya relatively cheap sya.

san nga din *** nakakabili nung Mei Linda?

    Exclamation Lilac Is Back!!! :)

Around 2 years ago (2004), though VIOLET was the hottest color in international catwalks, it didn't catch on here in the Philippines. Must be because we've seen too much cases of domestic violence around here (especially the heavy violet "around the eyes" look trend).

Now, we're seeing a return of the royal-color, but this time in lighter shades that won't make you think of black-eyes and bruises. As with today's anti-monochromatic style, avoid using lilac in all your features; at best, stick to one. Cheap & chic finds I recommend:

    1. Eyeshadow: Avon's rollerball eyeshadow in Ultra Violet- P129 on sale
    2. Blush: Avon's cream-to-powder retro cheek glow in Retro Plum- P199 on sale
    3. Lipstick: Herbench in Lilac- P120
    4. Nails: Careline in Lavender- P35 (medium bottle)

    Always remember: LESS IS MORE!!!

Currently loving: HERBENCH'S SATIN LIPSTICK IN FUDGE

Long-mileage, dark red/brown shade that can go from morning to night without retouching.

Got it on-sale for just P69 down from P120.

I love San-San products. I'm using the 02 concealer less than P200, 04 cheek bluser with spf 15 around P60 and a retractable pencil lipstick (reddish pink) that i gave my mother to use in emergency. Super cheap i can't remember how much i paid for the lipstick great products.
