I started reading because I wanted to find out why people read. buti nalang I started. some people are stuck on comics still.

High School days. Napanood ko yung Nicholas Sparks movie and i wanted more from it. Binasa ko yung book. Then switched to other authors from Sidney Sheldon to Stephen King. Ayun tuloy tuloy na

Instead of toys, I got books when I was a kid. Then I graduated to comics, then books. The rest, they say, is history.

Back in HS, when I started to read Sweet Valley jrHigh books; that was the start. It was followed by several Sheldons, and the rest, as the cliche goes, is history.

    Gaya-gaya, puto maya.

    Saw my elders read.

Magazines and books were everywhere, hence, when bored, I grabbed a book, browsed the pages and there, the magic of words unfolded....

Thirst of Knowledge and Determination to learn made me read a book. And, some has also influenced me to read a book! It is also a means of avoiding temptation!

Kindle. I was given an Amazon Kindle by my uncle and since then I ravenously read books.

..and my 3rd grade Filipino (Pagbasa) book. Itutuloy kase yung mga kwento doon. Kwento yun ng isang family, may anak silang 3rd grade. Hehe..
That was the spark I guess.

I started reading actual novels when we were asked to make home reading reports in 5th grade. Naaalala ko pa nung hiniram ko yung Prisoner of Azkaban nung classmate ko kasi na-bore ako sa Gulliver's Travels (too hard for me to comprehend at that time, I guess) and I was hooked. Before, I only read general information books and encyclopedias. Kaya talaga namang HP made an impact in my life.
P.S. Hello. Lurker lang ako dati dito dahil nakalimutan ko na yung account details ko kaya gumawa na lang ako ng bago.

i was so sad then i just felt like reading would help me shake this feeling away. but it made me more emotional at some point but most its entertaining so i keep on reading.

My love affair with reading began after getting my hands on this book called, "The Little Match Girl." That was back in grade school. I just found it quite enjoyable, I was deeply moved by the story. Since then I'd been borrowing books from the library.

Today I read books because it relaxes me. I like learning new things and reading allows me to explore my interests and passions in life.

because it was required at school... lol

But seriously after college ko lang na-apreciate ang mga novels. Buti na lang may naimbentong ipad dahil ayaw ko talaga ng mga libro. Unang kong nabasa (nang hindi napilitan) ay hunger games. And now tinatapos ko na ang A song of Ice and fire.

I started reading because my godfather made me read my cousin's sweet valley high books. I'm glad he did from JK Rowling, Sidney Sheldon, Paulo Coelho, Nicholas Sparks, Dan Brown etc.

because i am so interested with the world war II and how one lunatic that was once considered an afterthought almost claimed the whole world for himself.
