Ever since I was a kid, I love to read short stories.. May it be tagalog or english basta d mahaba. I get bored kasi if mahaba.

But what prompted me for a change of heart was "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire". I was just curious with the book kasi meron nun pinsan ko. I've watched the movie pero iba yung effect ng book. I never liked reading thick books but the thing with HP books was I can't put it down. It has a certain charisma that makes you ask for more. Kaya ayun binili ko lahat ng series

hmmm...I can't even remember when I started reading. All I know is that it started at such a young age, around 4 or 3 years old perhaps. I know this because I remember one summer vacation in my lola's house...my older cousin asked me to read in front of the whole family.

wala kasing kuryente sa amin nung bata ako, so walang TV, radio or computer. in short, walang libangan. natuto ako magbasa ng newspaper, magazines, and comics. then later, books na.

from funny komiks, teenage books (sweet 16 or sweet valley high something), tagalog novels, then novels by john grisham na naging hit sa movie then nauso yung harry potter books tapos nawala ulet yung pagkahilig ko dahil suuuppper busy until recently yung naging G ko mahilig sa books and i thought of giving her the twilight series so binabasa ko muna eh ngayon i find it "kilig" yung series kaya ayun... and i find it a very good companion when travelling than listening to music

it started when a HS friend offered me her collection of pocketbooks, the tagalog ones. ever since, di na ako nagstop sa pagbabasa. Although, nung nabaha ng milenyo yung collection ko, dun, nadisappoint ako at nafrustrate ako, so i stopped reading and collecting. now, nagsimula ulit ako coz of confessions of shopaholic. more on chick lits binabasa ko hehe

and reading's my favorite past time, i'm learning a lot from it.

i used to read "goosebumps" when i was younger. may collection na ako. after my "goosebumps" phase, the baby-sitters club books ang binasa ko.

then when i got to elementary school we had required summer reading books. that continued all the way through high school.

back in high school, my classmates were crazy about RL Stine so that got me to read as well.

After high school, I got to stay with my dad and he is such a book lover. I started reading Sidney Sheldon.

After college, I got fascinated with Zafra .

Now, I fell in love with old books. The smell is intoxicating and i love it better than new ones. For me old books have characters and sentiments.

back in high school, 'twas just curiosity.. i used to read Sweet Valley High.. it sorta ended there.. then a friend told me about Rich Dad Poor Dad, bought it and read.. nothing followed (except for those books required in a project, which i really didn't read myself ).. until this one day, i realize all my lapses in life.. and decided to change (?) i thought of reading inspirational/self-help books..it really touched my life and my love for reading was established.. now, im addicted to fiction books..

    hi guys may i join...

My father was a bibliophile but it took me until HS to have acquired the bookworm syndrome. I got curious why a sis of mine would burn her brows just to finish a thick novel in 24 hrs. So I borrowed her "The Hunt for the Red October" by Tom Clancy and that journey guided me to Ludlum and the other oldies, Sheldon, Grisham and his contemporaries... because i was able to finish a thick one, I have had the guts to go for any books out of curiosity or whim and never failed me to add up something to my learning.....

i would answer the question as to who made me read a book, my english teacher in high school encouraged me to read a book, and i'm so glad she did

I liked reading science books as far as I could remember. From there I moved up to reading army manuals and history books, and I've never looked back since.

i have enormous fascination with autobiography and human-fiction novels. Someone recommended Frank McCourt's Angela's Ashes during my early college years and i end up wanting for more.
