I think the very first time I saw Meryl Streep was in the miniseries "The Holocaust" many years ago. My favorite movies of hers are of course, still "Kramer vs. Kramer" and "Out of Africa".

she is really one of the best, i just feel that the reason she doesn't win awards anymore is simply because they feel that everything she does is easy coz she's so good. Ipagawa mo sa iba yung mga roles niya ang for sure they will win awards for all the good roles she had. Double standards talaga pagdating sa kanya, they expect so much because she is the benchmark for acting. Ang daya nga eh!

Well, Glenn Close was robbed in 1987. She deserved to win for Fatal Attraction. It was her year.

Have you guys watched Angels in America???

If yes, have you guys noticed that scene by Meryl Streep and Emma Thompson, where Meryl plays a rigid, repressed frantic Mormon woman (3 *** roles niya sa Angels in America, including a male rabbi, yes, Meryl played a man here). Emma in this scene was a homeless garbage beggar.

Grabe, that was one of the MOST POWERFUL SCENES I HAVE EVER SEEN ON TV. Halo-halong emotions! Basta sobrang pagalingan talaga si Meryl at Emma sa scene na yon -heheh nakakatuwa kasi talagang LABANAN NG GALING SA PAG-ARTE *** dalawa, eh di naman nagpalamon sa eksena si Emma..

Basta guys, if you haven't watched Angels in America, specially that garbage dump scene, try to....
