The Diplomatic Thread: For people who watch shows both from ABS-CBN and GMA

I'm sure the members of the silent majority are also ticked off with the blind fanaticism of some noisy denizens of the beer-goggled variety. Some people have just lambasted and exalted shows/movies/personalities based on what network carries it as opposed to looking to the real merits of each shows. No channel has the monopoly on quality programming and other channels like ABC 5 and RPN 9 also have their own share of good programs.

Kindly enumerate the shows that you watch from each of the networks and tell everyone what you like most about each one.

Let's show the minority that the diplomatic community is alive and well here in PEX.

As far as news go, it's a toss up. I find Korina Sanchez's motives very shady and Mel Tiangco's countenance very insincere. Based on presentation, I'm partial towards channel 7.

The primetime programming of channel 7 simply doesn't sit well with me. I enjoyed ABS-CBN's treatment of Pinoy Big Brother despite its flaws. Hopefully the next season will be much better and I hope no other old song will be ripped off for the theme song.

For the late-night shows, GMA 7 simply rules it four out of the five weekdays. Save for the really crappy DEBATE, GMA's shows for the almost-midnight timeslot is superb. I-Witness and Reporter's Notebook are among the best produced shows I've seen in Philippine Television. But of course, we all know that Cheche Lazaro's Probe is king when it comes to investigative journalism.

Kanya kanyang rason kung minsan loyal ka sa isang network... Dito sa bahay pabago-bago ang trend ang TV habits kasi, madalas naman maglipat ng channel dito.. Kung may bagong show, lipat agad, para macompare kung ano ang mas maganda...

Pero sa bahay ng kuya ko sa baguio, solid kapuso yun, kasi blurry yung signal ng ABS dun, kaya solid kapuso siya...

Maraming dahilan kung bakit loyal tayo isang network...Pero kung saan ka nageenjoy,dun ka dapat..

ako im a kapamilya not because i hate kapusos and that i got anything against gma-7. its just that for me, more abs-cbn programs are worthy of being seen than gma's. but there's no need not to watch gma-7 and to bash it irrationally. i like abs-cbn's definitions of programming,philippine television and corporate ventures way than gma-7, but gma-7 is highly commendable in its meritorious achievements in the industry.

10:00-10:30am - Tambalang Failon at Sanchez or Green Rose sa dos
10:30-11:30am - Homeboy [with switching sa ANC replays]

i make it a point to regularly see PROBE.

somehow same kay akosilester *** sa case ng mga tv namin, default channel ang 2 except pag bulaga kasi un ang gusto ng lola ko, pero naglilipat sya sa wowowee.

pag weekends, sundays lang ako free, saturday ko is busy, if may time i watch stained glass rewind b4 i go to school, then normally hapon o gabi na uwi ko, if asa bahay me sa gabi, i watch my juan and onli, quizon avenue, actually channel 2 hanggang gabi [depende sa sabado movie greats], and syempre, pag maganda palabas sa cable channels, dun na. nung PBB days, solid ako dun. pag no class, i watch startalk, kasi lagi ko kinocompare sa the buzz ang materials nila. hehehe. if ala class, ok na rin ang little big star

pag sunday, stained glass, then asap [naglilipat minsan], then pbb buzz or cable or patay tv, then the buzz [sunday habit], then going bulilit or eclub or cable, then yspeak [sunday habit] and star in a million, then rated k [minsan naglilipat sa mel and joey at cable], then tulog na o kaya SNBO ng GMA [unless mas maganda *** SFC ng dos].

followed by StarStruck palipat-lipat sa Insider/Probe or Comedy/Sitcom ng ABS
then watch american channels
tapos mulawin (minsan corny). then switch sa wowowee (minsan, pinapanood ko hangang pagkatapos nung 1st segment)
tapos Encantadia (truly magical). At pag 11 na, nood ng KiliTV (katawa nuts and bahay mo) hanggang makatulog and sometimes naabutan pa ang Reporters Notebook (interesting, same with jessica soho) and those GMA docu.
