^I don't think they have. The wild cards are already given out eh...

    anyway, sydney update:
    Ivanovic def Mauresmo 6-3 7-5
    Kuznetsova def Safina 6-3 ret
    Henin-Hardenne def Dushevina 6-2 6-2
    Vaidisova def Fedak 6-3 6-3
    Hantuchova def Schnyder 3-6 6-3 6-4
    Schiavone def Zi Yan 3-6 7-6 6-1
Clijsters def Na Li 6-3 6-1

so far... upsets today wer patty schnyder and amelie. Not a nice start for amelie, losing her first game of the year. I'm happy for Ivanovic and Hantuchova though.

    so qf matchups will be:
    hantuchova vs vaidisova
    kim vs schiavone
    kuznetsova vs ivanovic
    justin vs petrova or kirilenko

i hope dani and ana reaches the SF...

Ako i'd love to go to Paris and watch the French Open this May. Kaso nga lang ToRn, we both have the same problem....no money for airfare!

Question: If you had to pick one Grand Slam event to watch, which would it be and why? Ako I'm choosing between the French Open and Wimbledon. Haven't exactly made up my mind yet. Hah! As if naman I have the money in the first place!

If I had to pick one Grand Slam event to watch, its gonna be the US Open. I don't know, but napansin ko, mas pumped up lahat ng players kapag US Open... maybe because it's the last slam of the year.

Ashlars, ipon tayo tapos nuod tayo. Sorry, di pa ako nakaka-reply dun sa last pm mo... medyo busy kase sa work lately

Nice to see her squeak out of that one

Anyway, buti nga sana kung airfare lang ang problem, may food and accommodations pa plus the extra money to buy merchandise.

I don't mean to sound bad pero ang audience ng Wimbledon aren't too easy on the eyes.

Pero tama si imogen, parang ang sarap sumigaw in Tagalog during a match, lalo na sa French Open, where the audience can really get involved (tanda ko pa yung 1999 French Open final Steffi Graf versus Martina Hingis...the best!)

Monsterboy should be preparing it right now (along with the prizes, right monsterboy? )

As for Taino or Mamiit, i wouldn't get excited about their trying to qualify for the AO main draw as they'll probably be representing the US anyway...

I find this picture disturbing for some reason...

High Five: Players Take Leap of Faith on Sydney Tower

Spanish stars JUAN CARLOS FERRERO and TOMMY ROBREDO prepared for their first round encounters at the Medibank International in Sydney in a unique way, by going to the top of the Sydney Tower and experiencing the 'Skywalk', over 250 meters above ground. The players wore special suits and harnesses to ensure full safety atop the tower and were able to get a bird's eye view of the sites of Sydney.

The Skywalk is the second tallest free standing structure in the southern hemisphere. "I really think sydney a beautiful city and it's amazing to be able to see it from this height. As players we travel so much but it's great to be able to experience things like this. Luckily I am not scared of heights though," said Robredo. The players were also accompanied by GUILLERMO GARCIA-LOPEZ, STEFAN KOUBEK and WTA player Anastasia Myskina.

choco4me : Ang pogi ni Tommy! Darn.
Imogen : Got some terrible news for you. Marat and Rafa won't play sa Aus Open. Darn it.
22mai: Japan ka diba? anong WTA tourney yan? and when? thanks!

Sabi nga sa ESPN news center, "what's the point now? Just give the trophy to Roger..." hehehe.. I guess, they are not very convinced that Lleyton might win it..

I think they'll be representing the Philippines. as far as i know they let go of their chance to represent the US when they played for the Philippines during last month's SEA Gamnes

ah talaga? I thought they were allowed to play sa SEA dahil dual citizenship naman sila and recognized yun under Phil. law. Under ATP rules si Mamiit is still under the flag of US. But I am not sure about this.

ToRn ako.. I want to watch the French and Wimbledon slams kasi medyo malapit sa F1 schedule yun
