Yes dito rin there is such a rule as net loss carry over or NOLCO.

ABS does pay its taxes. It may play some tax management games but I think no more than any other company in this country.

Maybe the threadstarter has seen some reports that said some Lopez company did not pay any taxes for a given year. That certainly may be the case maybe becasue of the Company's NOLCO. Many of the Lopez companies have suffered loses over the last few years hence these companies have a lot of NOLCO.

Its only fair for a company not to pay taxes if it does not make any income. Its even fairer for a COmpany to use its NOLCO to offset any income taxes due once iits starts making an income again up to a certain period in accordance with the applicability of its NOLCO.
