di pa rin ako matutong mag drive

nerbyos lang kaya? o talagang wala synchronization ang limbs ko kaya di ako matutong mag drive...wag nyo na itanong how long i attempted to learn....(and finally i think i have given up..hu hu hu)...basta very...considerable length of time..may pag-asa pa kaya ako...??? sabi nung close friend ko ang driving daw is like playing a musical instrument, not everyone can learn it....

    true..
it's not enough that u know how to change gear or turn the wheel..
    and make the car run..
coz when u say driving.. this has to include defense, style and diskarte.. specially sa atin sa pinas. unahan ng nguso.. pagalingan sumingit at kailangan apat ang mata mo kasi madaming tao nagkalat sa kalye.

if u already know the basic, (i assume u already try driving school right) well... i suggest you go to crowded place like pasay, quiapo and edsa..and also .. if u are very bad on changing gear... try to practice on humps too.

napakdali lang matutong magdrive heres how:

    1. dapat you have youre own car, kasi if you dont have its not that easy to learn..you should be familiar with the vehicle..especially adjust the mirrors and the seats(this is very important)

    2. before going to a driving school try to learn kung paano yung tamang timpla ng pagpapaandar using 1st gear...most students kasi nauubos ang session sa driving school kasi this is the 1st hardest thing to learn...and for just how long is the course in a driving school?

    3. I first learned how to drive from my father and then afterwards i went to a driving school.

    4. driving is very easy..mas mahirap pang magbisikleta

nung nasa pinas pa ako, nahirapan akong magdrive ng stick-shift na kotse. kasi diba everytime you change gears, you also have to step on the clutch. Basta parati akong napapatayan ng makina in the middle of the road. Nakaka depress nga eh.. Galit na yung mga jeep sa likod.

When i came here in the states, it's a must to drive.

But once you learn how to drive.. hindi mo na ito makakalimutan...

I drive two kinds of cars... authomatic and stick-shift.. pero mas gusto ko ang stick-shift kasi meron ng fifth gear para sa mga sports car...

Goodluck to you.. and by the way dont give -up easily, kailangan mo iyan dito sa abroad.. iyan ang pinaka-buhay dito... mga anak ko ngang lalaki mas gusto pa niyang ako ang nagtu-turo sa kanila kesa sa daddy niya.

learning how to drive is like sex.... the more you do it,the better it gets
    so practice ....
    - go to a empty parking lot and try to learn your start and stop .. para walang mabangga..

I knew someone who learned how to drive... ...from a PC game. In six months, he was able to pass CA driving exam and eventually got a license. A week later, he bought an H2 - and paid it in full. Egads! 'Yan ang lakas loob.

I agree, driving manual transmission can be very hard to learn to some people. It's a psychological issue. Parang si Shaquille O'Neal who finds it hard to shoot the basketball at the foul line no matter how hard he tries or how long he practices.

If you are a person who gets easily confused operating a stick shift, consider your safety and the safety of others by driving Automatic vehicles instead. Driving requires proficiency, don't drive unless you are fully confident about driving.

Wow, it's nice to know that I'm not alone. I'm also having difficulties in learning how to drive. Haay I don't know why. Nahihiya na nga ako sa driver namin baka isipin niya ang stupid ko. He also taught my older brother how to drive tapos according to him it only took my brother like a week to learn how to drive. In my case, I've been practicing how to drive for more than a month at di ko pa rin talaga ma-master. Haay, it's really disappointing. I really get confused in changing gears eh. And I also get nervous while driving 'cause I might bump into something/someone. Hanggang loob lang ako ng village namin.

I drive a stick shift car here in the US, but learned in the Philippines. My Grandpa's driver taught me in the streets of Manila, and I was driving around Manila by myself. I also drove all the way from the Banawe Rice Terraces to Manila all by myself with my Grandpa in the passenger seat. That's like 8-9 hours. In the beginning I was also intimidated by stick shift driving, but once you learn, there's nothing to it.

I'm so glad this thread came up cuz of I'm scared of driving, too!

My dad enrolled me in driving school for 2 yrs pero hindi sunod-sunod. First time was 1st yr college. 2nd time was when I graduated. And takot pa rin ako hanggang ngayon. Pag nasa car naman ako with the instructor, I'm calm & collected but pag kasama ko dad ko or anybody else, I'm tense & ang dami kong mali. One time I almost ran into citibank!

Tapos one time rin, my instructor didn't talk to me the whole drive para daw kunwari ako lang mag-isa & I did well naman. I dunno **** bakit takot ako. Sabi ng iba I shouldn't be so stressed about it but kotse na kasi yan eh. Life & death. Hindi tulad sa written exam na wala namang mamamatay, babagsak lang. I feel like I should buy car & life insurance muna before I drive. I feel this is one exam where I can't just memorize the books.

The advantage of those who drives stick, they can also drive automatic (so long as they ain't clutch drivers). The disadvantage of a driver who learns automatic, they'll have a hard time learning stick, even if they know how to drive.

Wee bit of irony: A professional race car driver is always a careful driver in the open (since the driver knows the dangers of an accident). A wannabee professional driver doesn't have consideration for other vehicles around, regardless if the next vehicle has an infant or children inside - it's all about the bravado. Too bad that bravado only serves the ego, but doesn't really cough out a paycheck.
