    Post hmm...

Were you able to read yesterday's (September 12, 2002) Young Blood entitled "TNT"?

What can you say about it?

To all those who have contributed and were published, did the people in Inquirer edit your essays? To what extent?

    Thanks!
    Pax!

When they published mine, I got paid just under 1k, but I never got a clear answer on whether they paid by the word or by column-inches. But that was waaaaaay back the early 2000s. They might have raised (or *gasp* LOWERED) prices since then.

Inquirer Youngblood published my essays in January 2003 and August 2009.

I got paid around P1,000 in 2003 and in 2009, P1,000 pa rin at may less P100 tax pa yan ha.

Kawawa talaga mga writers dito sa Pilipinas. The only consolation is to see one's name printed on a national daily.

Ohh I see. Were you informed of payment? Are all works automatically paid?

^ Yes. Glossies (magazines) pay much worse. Yung iba gift certificate lang ang pambayad.
