I've been watching How I Met Your Mother on a marathon and just finished Season 1. This is what I've thought about it thus far:

- It's like a poor man's Friends of some sort.
- Neil Patrick Harris pwns the show.
- Jason Segel reminds me of Judge Reinhold.
- I really really really like the baker girl Victoria (Ashley Williams) ... Maybe she comes back towards the series' end and she ends up becoming the mother?

Maybe Future Ted uses aliases for some of the other characters? Just like in Definitely, Maybe: The dad tells the story of how he met his daughter's mom, but the names were changed to maintain the element of surprise...
