calvin and hobbes brings me back to my childhood days. it makes me realize that generation after generation, children share the same simple joys and dreams. i remember this strip where calvin imagined a handful of balloons bringing him up the air. that sums up my dreams of flying too, from years ago....

don't you just love it when calvin's father explains how life works in a disturbing kind of way. an example: calvin asked his father why are old pictures in black and white, his father answered that people wasn't colored until a certain time (i forgot the time he was talking about).

anyway, i LUV calvin and hobbes!

It's a very philosophical comic strip actually. (And a pick-up line for me heheh). If you notice, Calvin is extremely wise (not just smart) for his age. I thought you might enjoy more strips (PLUS more from the Author himself!)from here:

Seriously, I cried when Calvin and Hobbes was laid to rest. Bill Watterson had no idea what kind of impact Calvin and Hobbes made on me and the millions of readers worldwide.

I will always miss that wide-eyed philosophical child and his whimsical, yet wise, feline friend.

i cant even explain the "magic" of this comic strip..it hits you somewhere..maybe in the child in all of us...one of the best comic strips i've read..so far i'm trying to collect em all too..ala pang pera...
