website question.

Its like this.
I would like to start a website but the problem is that I have no knowledge of how to begin and absolutley no knowledge of website construction or the costs involved.
If it is successful and I promote it in the correct way, I think it could really take off.
Because I have no knowledge of website construction I will have to rely totally on a web designer based in the R.P.
How can I ensure that the webmaster does not steal or of have to much control after it has been completed? This is what worries me most.
Of course,the site will need to be maintained reguarly by the designer/webmaster..
How do I do all of this and still manage to keep my setup costs to a minimum?
Any advice would be very much apprieciated.

in your case, i guess you guys have to have a 'trust system'. i can't think of any other way, since you're not a designer or developer yourself, and you have to rely on another person to do this job for you. You just have to trust him.

You can also try to come up with some sort of Signed Agreement between you and your web administrator/designer which says that in case you discover some kind of cheating in his part in any manner, you can sue him for damages. Have it notarized by a public attorney.
