    [Merged] NBA Cards

Anyone out there who wants to trade basketball cards?
I'm looking for any cards of the following players: Raef laFrentz & Anotnio Mc Dyess
and a little of alonzo Mourning and Jamal Mashburn.

I'll trade almost anything for anything I find interesting.

I think there are still quite a number of them. I see them hanging out in the hobbies stores in Virramall (3rd floor, near Jollibee).

    Question

NBA card collecting became quite popular during the pre-lockout era. Unfortunately, after the lockout ended, lots of collectors ended their card collecting. I would like to know if there are still NBA card collectors these days.

    Cool

I used to collect NBA cards during my HS and early college days. I have 2 Jordan cards that I bought sa Filbars greenhills (noong buhay pa yung Arcade Hall) that are worth $500 (based on eBay). I remember that time, mayroon na open case that you could freely exchange your doubles with, I took the Jordan sticker

I stopped collecting when the market was over-saturated with too many series & production runs. Nawalan lang ako ng gana.

    Yo Bishamon,

Both are dated 1988. The first one's the regular Fleer card Jordan #17 while the other one's the "Superstar Sticker" series.

The values are for a PSA GEM MINT condition.
Any card not PSA-certified would naturally command a much lower price.

The GEM MINT 1988 #17 Fleer Jordan sells for $800++ now, just saw it on ebay. I bought those two at around P20-30 for the entire pack then traded a double.

Really? when did u make the purchase?
Did u have ur cards graded? If so how were they graded?(PSA, BGS SGC etc)

    Cool

i bought those cards circa 1987-. if you're a frequent greenhills visitor during the mid-80's (i was since my school was a stone's throw away), you'd remember the Arcade Mall. that was where the first Filbars in ghills was. P20-30/pack pa (yata) dati yung price.

to have it graded by PSA, there are either 2 procedures u could do:
1- subscribe for a PSA membership ($100) ang fee and then you could have your first 7 cards graded for free

    or

2- find a PSA dealer anywhere in the US then submit your cards for grading ... at your own risk.

its both costly & risky to have your cards sent to the US even via Fedex. mahirap yung pagbalik, patay ka sa shipping cost + insurance (around $30-$40). its better if you yourself are going to the US and just find some time to have it graded while you are there or if you have a relative in the US who knows the procedures. ibenta mo na rin sa ebay habang nandoon ka, hehehe.

i have a alonzo mourning insert 1 out of 1120 packs and a 96 mcyess holoview.
    wanna buy these?

Well I dont have anything to trade with since I traded my grandma for a set of Mourning autographics so I just buy. So if you have any mourning cards I'll be willing to buy them.

Oh and wait till Eddie Jones joins the heat next season. Mourning will get enough support and I know Riley can pull the team to the finals. The Mourning unbelievers better beware.
