For anyone who might be interested, Roland Isla, founder of Isla Mandirigma Kali - Kali de Leon will be holding an open class/demo this coming wednesday, 7-9pm at 4Fitness Ortigas, Unit 2209, 22nd floor, Tycoon Center bldg., Pearl Drive. Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

Speaking of Kali de Leon, here is a photo from a arnis/eskrima/kali meetup waaay back around 2001 I think. Guro Jun de Leon of Kali de Leon is in the middle. Other notables include PTK's Jasper de Ocampo, trainer for the PNP-SAF, and Guro Doug Marcaida (also a PExer) of Rochester Kali in NY.



I am the leftmost guy on one knee. There are a couple of other PExers too.

Real kamagong is heavy, and very dark (almost black), and cool to the touch. Cheapest kamagong baston I have cost me around P500 a pair.

Depende rin sa quality ng kamagong siguro, at kung paano ginawa pero parang masyadong mura yata yung P100 isa.

May nakita akong kamagong sticks sa K1 around 2 weeks ago.

BTW hindi ginagamit sa partner training ang kamagong at bahi. Mabigat at nababali kasi. Rattan ang pangkaraniwang ginagamit sa training.

Hahahaha, hindi ko rin alam, pero meron pang mas mahal dito at mas dark sya kaso hindi maayos ang pagkakahugis nya, siguro depende rin sa tanda ng puno ang presyo.
