I was in the LSGH Training Team waaaay back I still play kaya lang paputol-putol. I can still hit the ball but my serve is already extinct

I used to play back when I was a highschool sophomore. Avid fan kasi ako nina Martina Hingis and Patrick Rafter non. Lagi pa nga kaming nagkaka-debate ng biology teacher ko non kasi he hates... detests... Hingis.

But now, not anymore... I'm really not the sporty type eh. Feeling ko lang na ala-Martina Hingis ako.

I've always wanted to learn. Lalo na pag napapanood ko sa TV mga chic outfits nung mga pros

I've heard that it's not that easy to learn, 12 lessons ata. Does anyone know a good place in Makati or QC? Yung medyo affordable naman.

Tennis isn't that tough to learn. It does take quite a while to get used to it, but the basics aren't hard to learn.

I don't know of any place in Makati or QC where they teach tennis, unless you happen to be a member of a country club.

The best way to learn while you're not having a lessons? Get a racket, a tennis ball, and use the racket to "dribble" the ball. It helps a lot, guaranteed.

chad: Tnx for the tip. Have one problem, though. La pa akong racket and balls Lagi akong tumitingin ng rackets sa sports shop pero hanggang tingin lang. They don't come cheap and I wouldn't know which kind to buy din. Baka masayang lang.

One of these days siguro mag-iinquire ako sa Rizal. Quite near from where I work. Sali ako sa inyo pag medyo nakakahit na ako ng bola

Anyone from Alabang or Laguna area? Tennis tayo, anytime...I usually play at Sta Rosa, Laguna (25/hr) every weekend with some friends, but lately busy sila sa jobs, while ako professional bum so I'm available anytime...bawal ang magaling, since I'm not good myself, haven't tried getting some coaching (actually once lang). Yup, a tennis club would be nice...maybe even a friendly tournament?

Also, sino ang mga favorite players niyo? I like Martina Hingis (forever! kahit na hindi na siya manalo-nalo ng granf slams lately) and Marcelo Rios (his game, not his personality).

Had my very first lesson this morning. Saya-saya! Medyo sore arm ko. Tinuruan lang ako ng grip, stance and form. The trainer fed me some balls to hit. Can't wait for the next session!!! I know I have a long, long way to go but I'm so excited at the thought of playing a real game someday.
