anyone knows who's into underwater photography?
i need to interview one!
please text me at 0917-4114749.
i didnt quite catch the last photography thread, so im starting a new one : )
what camera system do you use? (for you techies...)
what are your fave subjects?
to answer my own questions, i usea nikon system (f90x and fm2n, and assorted lenses).
lately ive been using my all manual fm2n to re-teach myself the basics. slowing down with a fully manual camerahas forced me to be more careful with my photos. it a has been rewarding : )
i like taking photojournalistic style photos, with the philosophy that my images should tell stories. i try to incorporate this philosophy and style into images i capture, whatever the subject. i like hard news photography, travel photography and concert photography. i guess it reflects the passions i have for issues, travel and music.
haha...sappy. anyway, im hoping to hear from you guys.
miguel nacianceno?!? guidon photo editor?
i like photography and i took a basic photography course in college even though i was majoring in business. my camera used to be an ancient cannon.
i bought a NikonF60 sa Quiapo and it costs less than the average store price (much less especially if you know someone there). Now, i'm still trying to familiarize myself with the camera.
i'm currently working in Kodak Philippines, and if you're interested in black and white photography, i suggest you go to Island Photo (any branch)for developing. if you want paper and chemical supplies, try Island Photo Cubao. Colored prints can be developed at any Kodak Express. i know developing charges are high but hey, this is an expensive hobby.
are anyone of you interested in forming a Camera Club? This will help us get discounts for our developing charges and if we are a big enough group, we can arrange for an advance photography course (with discounts) and even go out on photo shoots to different places with less expenses.
What do you think?
(leelayce, i can try asking around for underwater photographers but what is the purpose of the interview?)
i accidentally used my sister's account...
please don't bug her about photography...

what camera system do you use? pentax! (spotmatic, superME, P30, MZ-7) supot sa service pero loyal pa rin…
lenses: 28mm (favorite!), 50mm, 135mm, 28-80mm, 70-200mm, and longing for a 20-24mm and a 28-200mm…
what are your fave subjects? basically i’m into sports, travel, night… now i’m experimenting on concert/gig shots, people… na-inspire ako sa PULP mag— sobra… mga idol!
film: tri-x, ykl 200, lucky pan (kung walang pera), provia (for stock)
as-salaam `alaykum,
erman
hey erman! glad you mentioned PULP magazine. nag practicum ako sa kanila over the summer. shameless plug: you can see some of my pics in the G Toengi issue. pero maliliit lang, so don't expect much. Si Gari B, one of the regular PULP photographers uses an old Pentax and a 35mm lens. Thats it, along with his flash. Ang galing ng mga kuha nya. As they say, "its the carpenter, not the hammer"
i guess to answer my fave film question: it would have to be either Provia F or Kodak E100SW. for print, Fuji Superia 400 is okay. for B&W, Tri-X 400 is a classic. For concert photography, I used to push Provia +2. It was...decent. But I want to try that Kodak E200 for pushing.
hey!
nagsimula ako ng isa pang thread, sagot din kayo dun : ) anyway, i use a nikon system consisting of an AF camera and a fully manual camera. i have some assorted lenses. my faves (and my main working lenses) are my 24mm and 50mm. may isang Nat'l Geo photographer who uses two lenses din. Si Dave Allan Harvey. I love his photos, along with Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, et all.
I like the photojournalistic style of photography because, medyo philosophy ko na all pictures should tell a story.
I'm for that PEx camera club thing!
As for camera clubs, I used to visit Zone V Camera Club. They're a bunch or real enthusiasts. Good company. My only regret was that I was to busy to be a full time member. They're pretty active, going on photo trips, joining or organizing exhibits. Kaya lang, like all camera clubs, there are a few members who are medyo flashy with their high tech equipment. But the stuff you learn is worth it all.
Good light to you all,
miguel
Ehm, miguel, bisto ka ata.
o miguel, you finally found people to talk to![]()
yo miguel, anong photos mo doon?.. i even went to their office in e.rodriguez and begged for copies of issues 1-3... thanks to ellen and vernon! very accomodating sila... muntikan na nga raw ibigay kay rico blano yung copies ko-- since almost a week na raw naka-reserve... i even went to the pulp gig in hard rock last month and took some shots... i experimented using b&w film, ayos sa tri-x, bad sa luckypan... grabe, ganun ako ka impress sa kanila... err... sa inyo pala...
from ateneo ka daw? cover ka sa sabado? hah! good luck na lang sa inyo!
as-salaam `alaykum,
erman
to erman,
