I'd love to knit if I only had enough time. Before I used to make belts and bags out of the stuff I knit. Paano kasi when I knit hindi ko iniisip kung gagawin kong bag or whatever. Kaya minsan ang gulo. But, it's a great past-time and I love it when I'm able to make something that I or anybody else can use.

There are different kinds of yarns that you can use, I use the thick one, parang carpet yarn ba yun for belts and bags. There's a softer yarn which is commonly used for sweaters, caps, and gloves. Sorry hindi ko alam yung mga tawag dun eh.

    Knitting, anyone? Not crochet

Hello, I just started to learn how to knit. I spent all day today looking for knitting needles in Sm Megamall and I had to go over to Robinsons Galleria to buy at Crafts World instead. Craft yarn, got them cheap at National Bookstore.

Otherwise, I just realized that being in a tropical climate, Pinoys generally would not be interested in knitting and so, businesswise, it doesn't make sense to sell knitting stuff here. But I chose knitting over crochet as I'm trying to save my eyesight which was why I didn't go into cross-stitch either!

Hoping to connect with fellow hand-knitters here. Where in Metro manila can I find good reliable knitting stuff aside from Crafts World? I will go over to Divi soon to buy yarn. But the needles! Do I have to order them online?! Well, as long as wala silang e-VAT

Knitting is a trendy hobby these days in the U.S.

In the Phils., though, it's not really practical. I've knitted about five scarves but they're mostly bound for the U.S. where, thank God, my siblings live and can make use of my stuff.

For my loved ones here in RP, will knit them bags and maybe headbands lang. Or maybe mini-scarves.

or.. you could try knitting bikinis.. i bought some in baguio.. really nice, but id like to know how to knit so i could make my own (sana) with different colors and designs.. since summer's comin up...

I got knitting needles in DMC. But they just have the normal ones (no circular needles). I had to get those abroad. As for yarn, where in divisoria do they have them? I'm looking for wool yarn sana but so far I've only been able to find the acrylic ones in SM and NBS.

    Thanks!
