When i was in college, we used to hang around Glorietta on occasions. One day, a drinking buddy of mine saw this long table with lotsa food stuffs right in the middle of the alley (near Papemelroti) with people qeueing up buffet style. We thought - wow! Free food! for the public! So without batting an eyelash, and using our stomach brains for thinking, we went straight to the line with our school knapsacks and started helping ourselves to our intestine's desires. Oblivious about what's going on, I suddenly noticed a bunch of photographers apparently taking my picture. There were blinding flashes everywhere. I said to myself, "hey, what the fack is goin on here..". When i turned to my right, Pops Fernandez was standing right beside me scooping some pasta. And to my left was Rowell Santiago! Daym!!!

It turned out that Levis Jeans (or was it another apparel shop? can't remember now) was having a store launching ribbon cutting ceremony and the food was for the celebrity guests who were invited on that occasion. And my drinking buddy and I were right in the middle of the photo-ops !!!!

After the photo-ops were finished, the security guards immediately shooed us away. Atleast they were kind enough to let us keep our hotdog sticks with marshmallows.

Dumalaw kami sa wake ng isang close family friend one time. Then who should walk in but Rudy Fernandez; the whole mortuary must have stopped at the moment, akala mo si God ang nag-appear. Then one brave person went up to him to ask if they could have a picture taken. Hinimas pa nga niya ang arm ni Rudy at sabi "Rudy, ang kinis-kinis mo naman". Later we found out that he actually meant to visit the patay in the next room, not in our room. Nagkamali lang pala siya ng pinasukan na pintuan!!
