Game Analysis Thread: UP vs NU 07-17-05

ito muna ang pag-usapan natin before the game against UE.

UP Fighting Maroons vs. NU Bulldogs, July 17, 2005, Blue Eagle Gym

    * kaya ito ng UP but it should never underestimate NU.

they should not treat bulldogs lightly. in fact, the dawgs can pull off an upset if they manage to stifle, harrass, pester the ballhandlers of UP. The maroons should play the same kind of intensity and resolve as they did agains dlsu

i'd say UP. kahit naman sino kalaban ng UP, sasabihin ko UP mananalo eh.

pero mataas yung score ng NU against Adamson ba yun last sunday eh. hmmm... let's see.

UP siempre. alangan namang NU sabihin ko eh taga-UP ako. Lolz.

the maroons shouldn't be too overconfident because of the big upset over dlsu. instead they should take one game at a time. also, be wary of NU kasi parang magaling ang hustle ng NU nung sunday.

    UP fight!

I hope the Maroons will still play harder!

Yup, I hope the UP Maroons treat every game the same way.

I could just see how bad Marvin Cruz's game is going to be.

I hope Abby will stop shooting more 3 point shots than 2 pointers.

    tinanong pa?

    UP by 30!

  12. #12
it will be nu by 18.

  13. #13
Nagkakalat na naman ang UP. Trying to be aggressive pero no finesse. We might win this game but shameful playing.

  14. #14
UP wins 81-59. Buti na lang they realized what awful mistakes they were making during the 1st half. Marvin Cruz put some order into their game but Nestor David was the best player today.

    Blowout ang NU.

NU simply lost it in the fourth quarter. The three steals and conversions after the start of the fourth quarter took the wind out of NU.

NU can play three quarters, but by the fourth canto malata na ang team.

Kudos to Marvin Cruz for playing hurt, a bum stomach can really sap your strength. Marvin was breathing very hard in the third quarter that he had to be replaced or he could have collapsed on the court.

UP Fighting Maroons DEFEATS NU Bulldogs, 81-59.

NU is also too dependent sa tries nila sa three point shots, but they were only able to shoot less than five out of 20+ attempts.

    * UP Fighting Maroons today was lead by Axel Doruelo and Nestor David. kudos also to Marvin Cruz (na kahit na hindi maganda ang pakiramdam ay naglaro pa rin and was able to bring order in the game) and Abby Santos.

again, congratulations to the UP Fighting Maroons for its third straight win and continuous lead in the standings.

What's getting me riled up is the fact that UP has not been that lucky yet... The boys are still flubbing gimme's and have been really off with their execution in stretches. UP knows how to finish games though - I'll take that. hehe

^ oo nga eh. maraming dapat ayusin ang UP MBT sa plays nito. like what i said earlier, the solo lead in the team standings and the three straight wins should inspire the team to do more, win more, IMPROVE and STAY HUMBLE.
