You should have a consultation with a dermatologist first. When I had mine last week, I was surprised that it was actually a comfortable experience.

The local anesthesia was applied and left for about 30 to 40 minutes with tapes all over my face and neck. The cautery itself was painless. I paid about 700 for the procedure. I don't have scars which is good.

Electrocautery ( which can be used to remove warts) is around P3,000 minimum ( yung tipong isang wart lang) but can reach P15,000 or more for let's say head and neck area. That's how much a Dermatologist charges. Surgeons can also perform this procedure as they've been trained to properly use an electrocautery unit. The procedure is potentially dangerous when performed by the untrained, and has to done by a Dermatologist, not a Nurse and certainly not a Cosmetologist/Beautician. Both topical anesthesia ( the good ones cost thousands of pesos) and if necessary even local anesthesia ( via a syringe ) are used.

I'm a dentist, not an MD . Electrocautery can also be used inside the mouth but again the potential dangers do exist thus it should only be performed by those who are properly trained.

I used to have plantar warts. As in warts, marami! Akala ko nga kalyo lang pero napapansin ko nakakaramdam ako ng pain whenever I put pressure on them. I dealt with it for months then napansin ko na lang nawala sila. Una kong napansin, nagdry lahat then eventually pagkapa ko, voila, wala na!

So nagbalik tanaw ako, ano kaya yung dahilan?
Eto ang mga nagawa ko:

--- Nagtake ako ng wheatgrass juice (Natira ng ate ko mga 15 sachets pa yun)
--- First time kong malasing the night before ko napansin na wala na sila ( di kaya nalasing yung mga fungi? hahaha!)

Yun lang, di ko alam kung may kinalaman yung mga yun sa pagkawala ng plantar warts ko.

Ate ko palaging may warts, either sa kamay, sa braso at sa fingers niya. San po kaya to nakukuha. Kapag dumikit po ba sakin ang warts niya eh mag kaka warts din ako? I have warts before sa braso, pero pinasunog ko kaya nawala pero yung peklat nandun pa din sa braso ko.

Someone help me pls. Naggagamot po kasi ako ngayon ng duofilm napansin ko pumuti yung wart ko nabasa na normal lang na effect yun but i notice na namumula po ang paligid ng wart ko at sumasakit po as in kumikirot yung wart ko normal pa rin po ba yun? Naisip ko kasi baka nana yung puti dahil narin sa kirot at maga na nararanasan ko., answer me plase kung normal ba lhat ng ito kung hindi ba ako dapat mag alala.

Duofilm's active ingridient is salicylic acid. It is a keratolytic, meaning that it lyses the keratinized layer of your skin. It is advisable to apply this on the warty area only and avoid using on the normal skin. You might have over-zealously applied it in the area including the normal skin making it inflammed. In short, napa-sobra ang lagay mo.

Okie i will., thanks a lot for the answer,baka nga nasobrahan ang lagay ko medyo malaki kasi kaya binabalot ko talaga ng maigi ng duofilm.,medyo nakahinga ako ng maluwang,if di magbago at mamaga pa din papatingin na me sa derma., as of now kc medyo nawala yung sakit at maga since di ko na siya binabalot ng plaster hinahayaan ko nalang siya makahinga.,salamat po ulit

Parati din ako nagkaka wart sa face at neck, pinapatanggal ko palagi using electro cautery, hindi naman masakit since may local anesthetic, dito sa place namin, around 20 pcs. 300 ang bayad.

Tapos papahiran mo siya ng Ery cream after, bawal maghilamos for 5 days, yung ery cream lang talaga, para maiwasan na maging scar siya, love ko naman ang results everytime, wala ngang scar.

They are all the same. Branded products tend to be endorsed and marketed more than the other brands.

As far as quality is concerned, one can only find out after using it. But all should have the same efficacy.

Share my experience lang din. Nagkaron ako genital warts, nalaman ko lang last sept 8, 2011. Nagpa-electrocauterize ako then after 2 weeks bumalik ulit kasi may nakita nanaman ako maliliit then cauterize ulit. after 2 weeks meron nanaman sya tumutubo maliliit. natrauma nako sa cauterize kasi un penis ko namamaga everytime na cauterize. and nangangamatis tulad ng bagong tuli. narinig ko tong RCC Amazing touch sa friend ko na lagyan lang ng cream na galing sa cashew extract then masusunog un wart. Tnry ko siya kanina siningil ako 12,000 pesos para sa whole area ng genital ko. mejo nagulat ako kasi konti plng un warts and prang . << size ng wart(tuldok) di pa lampas ng 10 warts siguro. pero pinatos ko na kasi ayaw ko na ulit ng cauterize dahil hndi ako makakilos ng maayos sa pamamaga ng penis ko. hi guys. ive been diagnosed with anal warts two weeks ago. im stressed as it is a very embarrassing situation. my hospital quoted me 90-100k to have electrocautery under general or spinal anesthesia. this factor of cost has added to my anxiety. also it does not guaranty total eradication of the problem and may still have to come back for a second procedure if it occurs again. spending 200thousand pesos in a year is something i cant handle. this is something i want to do and spend for alone and cant involve my parents for the expenses. is it really that expensive? also is electrocautery the only solution? im thinking maybe if i can boost my immune sytem, it will get rid of the problem over the next month or so? what advice and option can you give me? thanks in advance.

The problem with anal warts is the location. There is a need to relax the anal sphincter by having a form of anesthetic. This allows the surgeon to examine your anus better without any hindrance. Electrocautery can remove gross lesions effectively. However, since the lesions are caused by a virus, there are microscopic lesions that are not yet detected by the naked eye. These lesions are not cauterized. This is the rationale why you will be needing surveillance after the procedure, to check if there were lesions previously undetected which have become detectable already.

I already underwent operation to remove these warts, pero I was advised na pwede pa siya bumalik.

Is this lifetime or can be cured?

Can it also be a ground for me to get AIDS or HIV? Or is this different?

I have plantar warts on my right foot under my big toe. Pag super masakit na siya I thought of cutting off my big toe (but not really.. it's just too painful that I thought of cutting it out). I'm using Duofilm. I went to the doctor June this year but it's still there. Nag multiply na nga. I have 3 plantar warts in my big toe. I guess cautery is my next choice. I hope September comes fast so I will be regularize and I get to use my Medicard. Sigh. This sucks. :'(

Hello, I asked Medicard if kasama siya, they told me na 2k lang puwede. When I asked my derma how much is electrocautery of my one big wart, it will cost P2500, so magbabayad pa ako ng 500 eh 3 yung plantar warts ko. So I am thinking of using duofilm.
