hahaha... hirap palang tumae baka maluslos.
Yup. Straining during constipation can cause hernia (luslos), too.
would a suporter while defocating help?
hahaha
Dr. Ira: I do a little bit of weightlifting, and i'd like to know what causes luslos, and how to prevent it. Does wearing a weightlifting belt help, or is that just for back support? What sort of precautions should i be taking?
Over 70% of hernias are inguinal hernias. Hernias are caused by congenital or age-related weaknesses in the abdominal walls. In males, they are caused by an improper closure of the abdominal cavity during the body's development in the womb. They can also be caused by an increase in pressure within the abdominal cavity due to heavy lifting (like what you're doing), straining, violent coughing, obesity or pregnancy. You can reduce your risk of developing a hernia by maintaining a healthy weight, exercising to tone the muscles of the abdomen, receiving medical help for chronic constipation, allergies, or a chronic cough, eating high-fiber foods, and avoiding the risk factors mentioned above.
Athletic supporters do not help in preventing a hernia. Holding up the scrotum with an athletic supporter does nothing to prevent a tearing of the abdominal wall. Neither does a weightlifting belt. BTW, once a hernia forms and the abdominal wall is torn, it will never close by itself. To close the defect, a surgeon must sew the ends of the hole together.
Tenks yu doktora.![]()

If luslos is hernia, what kind of hernia does he have?
Yeah, I wanna ask about this also. Just wondering, does that illness make men impotent?
I have a friend who has hernia and he got operated last month. I have read some facts about it (but it wasn't mention that a guy might get impotent) and it has several types. His is under his bellybutton and just above his..u know. The usual cause is that if the person lifts heavy things(well that's one maybe) all the time, the muscle in the abdomen since it is not that strong breaks and causes the intestine to bulge out.
But what about those who have it under their "groins"..what's the cause of it?
As I've heard, there are different types of surgical operation (i.e. tatahiin, tatapalan nang another tissue or i-staple--oh my!).

There are many different types of hernias, and the one you're describing is most probably inguinal hernia, of which there are two subtypes--direct and indirect. Both are found beneath the belly button, and both are very near the male genitalia. Indirect hernia is congenital, while direct hernia is acquired due to the weakness of the floor of the inguinal canal. Indirect hernia may cause impotence if left untreated, while direct hernia doesn't. And while indirect hernia may spontaneously disappear, direct hernia often doesn't. Surgery is the only treatment for this. As for the tapal and tahi bit, yes, you can either just repair the hernia, or put what is called a prolene mesh on the area before suturing, depending on what kind of hernia it is.
mga guys lang ba nagkakaroon ng hernia?
Nope. Both males and females may develop hernia, although inguinal hernias are not common in females.
PaJaMaS, i think pati girls nagkakaron din ng
hernia, kaya lang more common in guys bec. guys exert more effort than girls physically so they are more prone to reducing the strength of the abdominal muscles causing the herniation. Tama po ba yon, Doc Ira?
Femoral hernias happen to be more common in females.
