Yeah because you know nothing good can come out of it physically, mentally, financially... Pero yung dentist mas malala, that drilling sound is one of the worst sounds a man can hear... I think all dentists are sadists... And that condescending tone... "Oooh what a brave lion you are... lemme just remove your entire top row teeth..."
Weeeelll... not really.. i just don't want another reprimand of how irresponsible I've been with my regular visits, check-ups, etc...![]()
kasi everytime na pupunta ako run baka may ma-discover s'ya tapos bigla nyang sasabihin na mamatay na ako. lol.
Why should I go to a doctor and pay a lot of money when I could just go online and ask for free advise in this forum? :P
Hehehe. ;D
Because my tolerance for pain is low. I was very sickly when I was young and on several occassions, I received a battery of injections. I guess since then, I've always had a fear of even being inside a hospital. There are so many negative emotions in there.
Cos' they stopped giving me toys and baloons when i turned 21.. that's not fair!!!
Seriously though..hospitals give me the creeps.. its that distinct scent of medicine, mixed with that musky "old" smell.. kinda reminds me of my late lolo. Plus i hate that cold, cold stethoscope that the doctors stick on your chest.. brrr lamig![]()
I’m actually more afraid of the dentist than the doctor ‘cause just like what Kamatayan said, you know that a dentist is bound to cause you pain everytime you pay him a visit.
I’ve never been hospitalized in my life and can count in one hand the number of times I’ve been to the hospital to visit someone sick (I’ve never even experienced the death of a loved one) so hospitals don’t scare me. What I do hate though, are the physical exams. I don’t mind blood being drawn with a syringe but stripping is the pits! We had our company PE last month, and believe me, it was one of the worst days I can remember in recent history.
for me, there's always the possibility that doctors might discover that there's something wrong with you (aside from the fact that i'm mentally ill) it's frightening, knowledge is frightening.
When I was a kid I loved visiting my uncle, who was an internist. He lets me play with his stethoscopes and other medical stuff. But as I went to college and med school, I started hating my doctor visits...as you learn more you begin to imagine all sorts of worst scenario even for the most benign of illnesses...will my fever turn out to be meningitis? Maybe this cough is actually an irritation because of a nasopharyngeal tumor...then when I graduated, lalo ko naging ayaw pumunta sa doctor...mahirap na, your colleagues might make you chismis with other co-doctors kung magpa-liposuction ka.![]()
I dunno, but I associate Doctors with pain. And as mentioned by the others, I'm scared that they might find something wrong with me.

i hate injections and everytime we visit our doctor for our breast check-up, i get paranoid sa mga cysts which is benign naman, thank God...
plus!... hate ko talaga kasi sobrang persistent yung doctor na magpa pap smear ako!!! (spell check pls)... ayoko nga! it's not that i'm putting malice but i just can't imagine a male doctor as old as my dad taking a peek inside me.... no way jose!
how come i dont?
pero i associate doctors with money. u are definitely gonna be paying some dough to that sercretary on ur way out be it good news or bad news. worse if its bad news coz that means ur gonna have to come back again and pay more!
that's why i want to be one
bwehehehehe
yup i hate visiting my doc-- i don't know why. maybe it's because i know there's nothing serious to worry about(coz my usual visits are when i have cough/colds---usually allergic rhinitis). but i when i was a kid(until HS i guess), i get so excited whenever we go to the hospital----no not the mab (medical arts building) but the hospital itself---especially the ER....ooh..lots of action!!!!maybe it's because my aunt's a nurse & that i rly look up to her---yeah, you can say that she's my role model....sad to say i didn't pursue a nursing career...=(

Based on the responses here, I take it that most of you would rather collapse dead one morning than find out you're sick and get cured?
Ada: Yes.. pretty much.![]()
Ada, nah. I hate visiting doctors, but it doesn't mean that I don't visit them. Actually, I go often, compared to other people. Basta I feel something, I go for a consultation. But it's really not something I look forward to.
cara talaga
sobrang sigurista
panic agad, konting sakit lang

discovering that i'm a lunatic...
it's just that whenever a doctor has a patient he/she is like obliged to tell u that something's wrong else ur not a good doctor (well in the first place u go to a doctor when u feel something's wrong)...ewan ko lang!@#$%
I hate it when I have to go for check-ups. It seems that the doctors I go to are so palpak. I never get well or get valid reasons why I was ill whenever I visit them. I just hope I could find a good doctor to visit.![]()
